Friday @ Mosh Space Live House
A tribute and mashup of Manchester and Yangpu - two places that have birthed many young riotous acts - the Yanchester series returns to its roots tonight over at Mosh Space. Perhaps the most brazen and riotous of them all, Britpop favorites Burley Quay, born in self-proclaimed Yanchester, lead some truly delightful bands, including emo pop-punk outfit Tiny Times, freshly minted three-piece whydid (who fall somewhere between the evocative sounds of Friko and Yuck), and 1000 Failures, known for evoking some of the pop rock and emo scene’s best. Sounds like my kind of party.
