Recently, Chery Automobile officially revealed that the Jetour Traveler 7, a model under its Jetour brand, will officially go on sale on October 14. The new car is positioned as a boxy SUV and will be offered with gasoline and plug-in hybrid powertrains. It has already entered pre-sales, with seven variants and pre-sale prices ranging from RMB 149,900 to RMB 179,900.
In terms of exterior design, the new car continues the Jetour family's rugged boxy design language. Retro round headlights are paired with horizontal light strips inside the lamps, and the brand lettering has been moved from the grille to the hood, giving it strong recognizability. On the side, body-colored wheel arches replace traditional black plastic cladding. At the rear, it retains the family's signature side-opening tailgate and an exterior-mounted spare tire, while the taillights are smoked. In terms of dimensions, the new car measures 4,827/2,006/1,875 mm (length/width/height), with a wheelbase of 2,800 mm.
Inside, the new car features a 15.6-inch central touchscreen and a 10.25-inch LCD instrument cluster, and has switched to an electronic column shifter. The seats use a new 12-layer Shuyun material and support 8-point pneumatic massage and 10-way power adjustment. The front passenger seat is a one-touch fold-flat “queen” seat. For intelligent driving, it is equipped with the Falcon 500 advanced driver assistance system, based on the Horizon Journey 6M chip, with computing power of up to 128 TOPS and an end-to-end large model.
In terms of power, the gasoline version offers 1.5T and 2.0T engines. The 2.0T version uses a 7DCT or 8AT transmission, while the 1.5T version uses a 7DCT transmission. The plug-in hybrid version consists of a 1.5T engine and three electric motors, paired with a CATL battery. It has a pure electric range of 251 km and a combined range of 1,400 km. For off-road capability, the new car is equipped with XWD fully automatic intelligent four-wheel drive and 7+X one-touch off-road modes.
