Beerkraze is back for its 9th edition, and this time it's moving into a much bigger home. The craft beer festival takes over Crystal Bridge 晶耀虹桥 for two full weekends in October, bringing together 100+ craft beers, international food, DJs, tastings, games, and two outdoor stages.
The new venue is right on top of Loushanguan Road Metro Station, on Lines 2 and 15, just one stop from Zhongshan Park, so getting there is considerably easier than some of Beerkraze's previous locations.
This year's theme is "Innovative Craft Wheat Beers," with breweries putting their own spin on one of beer's most versatile categories. That said, this is still very much a full craft beer festival, so expect plenty of IPAs, lagers, pale ales, stouts, sours, and other styles too.
Beerkraze in Numbers
This is Beerkraze number nine, and for the first time the festival is stretching across two complete weekends.
There'll be 100+ craft beers, two festival areas, and two stages, spread across Crystal Bridge's Ground Level and open-air Amphitheater.
Add breweries, beer importers, food vendors, DJs, tastings, and games, and you've got something considerably bigger than your average weekend beer market.

This year's Beerkraze brings together an exciting mix of international and local craft beer brands, with a special focus on innovative wheat beers.
Discover 12m2, Boon, Twintails, Zaoshan, Broeder Jacob, Thorn Bird, Haopizhe, Darkstar, BOWKNOT, Punk Cat Craft Beer, Zaopishi, Zhi Brew, Brander Urstoff, Ladder Brewery, and many more breweries.
From refreshing wheat beers to hoppy IPAs, rich stouts, crisp lagers, and experimental brews, there's something for every beer lover.
Food Lineup
Six hours of beer requires food.
The festival will have a mix of international food vendors and beer-friendly festival grub, with different options spread across both areas. Expect plenty of grilled food, hearty comfort dishes, snacks, and things designed to go very well with a cold beer.
Entertainment
There are two stages this time around, with international DJs playing throughout both weekends. Things start relatively relaxed in the afternoon before picking up as the evening rolls in.
There'll also be beer tastings, blind tastings, beer discovery games, and interactive activities, so you don't need to spend the entire afternoon standing in front of a tap list trying to decide what to order next. Though you absolutely can.

The two craft beer vouchers can be exchanged for eligible beers at any beer booth at the festival, so you're not tied to one particular brewery. Prices rise as each weekend gets closer, and quantities are limited.

Important: Weekend 1 coupons only work October 16–18, and Weekend 2 coupons only work October 23–25.
Organizers
Beerkraze is organized by Lolypop Events, the Shanghai events team also behind the Belgian Beer Garden.
After eight previous editions, the move to Crystal Bridge gives the festival a larger and much more central setup while keeping the basic Beerkraze formula intact: lots of craft beer, good food, music, and an easygoing outdoor festival atmosphere.
