2022专四summary给分标准

Now the trend towards （1）banning plastic shopping bags comes in the wake of new findings regarding the extent and harm of plastic in our environment. Since plastic （2）isn't biodegradable, it ends up either in landfills or as litter on the landscape and in waterways and the ocean. Plastic can take hundreds of years to decompose and release toxins into the soil and water in the process.

Littered plastic is also （3）a huge problem for the health of wildlife, as many animals ingest it thinking it is food and can have problems thereafter breathing and digesting. The non-profit World watch Institute reports that at least 267 species of marine wildlife are known to have suffered from entanglement or ingestion of marine debris, most of which is composed of plastic. A recent study on the impact of litter on North Sea wildlife has found that some 90 percent of the birds examined had plastic in their stomachs.

Another reason for banning plastic bags is （4）their burden on fossil fuel. Plastic is not only made from petroleum: producing it typically requires a lot of fossil-fuel-derived energy. The fact that the use of millions, or even billions of plastic grocery bags each year means we are drilling for or a importing millions of barrels worth of oil and natural gas for a convenient way to carry home a few groceries.

（5）Environmental groups have continued to push for more plastic bag bans. They argue that using fossil fuel to make something so short-lived, which can blow away at the slightest breeze and pollutes indefinitely, is illogical, particularly when there is a ready alternative: the reusable bag.

As far as I am concerned, for one thing, we can cultivate people awareness of environmental protection by publishing the serious impact of using plastic bags. It will be more likely for people to take actions to reduce using plastic bags until they realize the harmful sides of the plastics. For another, government should launch regulations to encourage people use more recyclable bags when shopping. When people experience the advantages of recyclable bags, they tend to use plastic bags less. By doing so, every member of society is aware that their daily action influences the environment, which may bring significant changes.

Now, alternative bags to shop may be inconvenient at first, but the regulations help people to get accustomed to it. As time goes by, using recyclable bags may become part of, people’s lifestyle, unconsciously. In addition, encouraging the recyclable use of plastic bags is also effective. This method helps to limit the amount of littered plastic. Anyone who disposes the plastic bag after using once only should be given warning and slight punishment. It helps to increase people’s awareness of environmental protection when punishment is put into practice.

All in all, through publicizing the negative sides of plastics, encouraging people to use reusable bags and punishing acts wasting plastic bags, we can raise and strengthen people’s awareness to protect the environment.

The ban of the plastic shopping bags is a good way to mention people about protecting the environment but not the only way. There are still many ways can help protecting the environment and raise people’s awareness.

Firstly, we know that the pollution of CO₂ is a critical problem in our daily life. When the morning we go to work, it is believed that all the people hate the traffic jam because no one wants late for the job. So we can improve our advertising of the public transportation. Not only reduce the possibility of the traffic jam but of reduce the pollution.

Secondly, the electricity is a major part of protecting the environment but nowadays our daily products are closely connect with the electricity many people still like take on all the bottom even they don’t use them. So in my opinion the government can do more advertisement about the waste of electricity. Also make a list in every month bill that write down how much electricity they waste this month and cost how much. This way can let people clearly notice that what they waste and the money cost will let them focus. I believe after few month the waste of electricity can be improved.

These methods can help people pay attention to protect the environment but if people want improve if we still need to do lots of efforts. Protecting environment can’t be one day work.
