Talk Title: Carrying Work Forward: Toward Long-Horizon Human–AI Collaboration

Abstract: AI agents are evolving from task-specific tools into research collaborators that can help people explore ideas, conduct experiments, and analyze evidence.

This talk introduces Evolving Memory and Agentic Media as approaches to supporting continuity, mutual learning, and adaptation in long-term human-AI collaboration. It will also examine trust, governance, privacy, security, and the continued importance of human direction.

特邀演讲嘉宾

Speakers

Leendert van Doorn is a technology executive and computer scientist with more than three decades of experience in semiconductors, cloud computing, cybersecurity, systems software, and artificial intelligence.

He has held senior technical and engineering leadership positions at Qualcomm, Microsoft, AMD, and IBM Research. Most recently, he served as Senior Vice President at Qualcomm. He received his Ph.D. from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam under Professor Andrew S. Tanenbaum. He has also served on the boards of the Trusted Computing Group, CXL Consortium, and Gen-Z Consortium.

Talk Title: Uncomfortable Questions for the AI Era

Abstract: Generative AI is making answers, code, designs, and hypotheses easier to produce. As a result, the constraints on innovation may shift toward judgment, verification, feedback, and computing resources. This talk examines how research, education, computing, and engineering organizations may need to adapt as AI transforms established workflows and changes their most important bottlenecks.

Zhenjiang Hu is Dean and Chair Professor of the School of Computer Science at Peking University. His research focuses on programming languages and software engineering, particularly functional programming, bidirectional programming, and system software verification.

He received his B.S. and M.S. degrees from Shanghai Jiao Tong University and his Ph.D. from the University of Tokyo. He is an IEEE Fellow, a Fellow of the Japan Federation of Engineering Societies, a member of the Engineering Academy of Japan, and a member of Academia Europaea.

Talk Title: Reshaping CS Education in the AI Era: The “101 Plan” and PKU’s Path

Abstract: This talk explores how artificial intelligence is reshaping the content, methods, and organization of computer science education.
