T • Maintenance Release (MR) build funding support: In addition to supporting the initial launch, OS upgrade, and security updates (SMR) for GMS Express Plus devices, Google is adding support to reimburse the certification fees on Maintenance Release (MR) builds for GMS Express Plus devices. If your MR builds pass the required tests, your device will be eligible for 3PL funding for that cycle. This will be effective from July 1, 2018.
T • Funding Eligibility Condition: Starting on July 1, 2018, Google will monitor activations of devices after certification for future funding eligibility. Based on activations, if Google finds that a funded device has not been commercially launched within 3 months after the certification date, Google will request for justification from the partner. If a satisfactory justification is not provided by the partner after repeated requests, then the Funding Program may be suspended for that partner for 6 months by informing the 3PL and the partner.
