There is a saying that the soul of a city is always hidden in its farmers’ market. If you ask Kunming people where is the largest and best vegetable market in Kunming, I believe most of the people would say “the Wuliduo Agricultural Trading Square”.
五里多农博广场日均人流量5万多，
节假日的人流量翻番，
是昆明菜市场里的流量担当。
This market attracts about 50 thousand people per day on average and even doubled on holidays. It is the most popular farmers’ market in Kunming.
五里多农博广场之大，
一个楼层装不下。
菜市场占地三层，
负一楼和一楼售卖瓜果蔬菜，
二楼是批发超市和小吃美食。
单层占地面积2.87万平方米，
与总建筑面积1.33万平方米的篆新农贸市场比起来，
有四五个篆新那么大。
The farmers' market has three floors in total: the B1 and first floor sell fruits and vegetables; The second floor are wholesale supermarkets and snacks stalls and each floor covers an area of 28,700 square meters. Compared with the famous Zhuanxin Famers’ Market with a floor area of 13,300, Wuliduo Agricultural Trading Square is four or five times the size it.
因为菜价便宜，品种丰富，
全天人流总量中有70％是老年人
除附近的居民外，
不少老人甚至从几十公里外来此采买蔬菜，
这里是老昆明人心尖尖上的菜市场。
The agricultural products in this market are many and varied in categories, which not only attracted nearby residents, but also some citizens who lived dozens of kilometers away, and over 70% of them are senior citizens.
不同于其它菜市场，
五里多农博广场里，
蔬果非常新鲜，
价格却低到惊人，
相比便宜三成以上，
这里被称为昆明最“香因”菜市场。
Unlike other farmers’ markets in Kunming, the fruits and vegetables are not only fresh but also at an incredible price in Wuliduo Agricultural Trading Square, which is at least 30% cheaper than others. Thus it was known as “the most affordable farmers’ market“ in Kunming. Here you can find all seasonal local specialties at a wonderful price.
与其说五里多农博广场是昆明的大型菜市场，
不如讲它更像是一座生活美术馆。
