Like the Traditional Dali Courtyard, the Kunming Hengzhi Courtyard is a hundred-year-old yard located by the Dianchi Lake, centering around a central courtyard, surrounded by buildings on all sides.
蘅芷院
昆明现存保留最完好的白族风格院落群，
与大理喜洲白族民居有着一样的布局，
“三坊一照壁”和“四合五天井”，
在历史上也和喜洲的严家大院有着很多渊源。
As people move to modern, urban areas, and traditional yards are being left behind. However, The Xingzhi yard, as the most well-preserved group of Bai-style courtyards in Kunming, shares the same layout as the Bai-style dwellings in Xizhou, Dali, with "three houses and one screen wall" and "quadrangle and five sky wells", is a typical Bai people yard, where you can experience close historical ties to the Yan family courtyard in Xizhou.
走进蘅芷院的瞬间，
青瓦白墙、木楼石阶，梅树兰草，幽静典雅，
古朴典雅的气息扑面而来。
Hengzhi Courtyard is a harmonious blend of nature and architecture, where tranquility and beauty converge. It is a peaceful refuge from the hustle and bustle of the outside world, surrounded by delicate stone pathways, verdant gardens, and elegant buildings.
蘅芷院是从旧宅搬迁至现在的滇池畔，
历时三年多，
一砖一瓦都是按照旧宅设计修复的，
古朴中已静静等候百年。
The Hengzhi Courtyard was moved from its original dwelling to its current location by the Dianchi Lake, taking more than three years. Every aspect of the restoration was meticulously planned to match the design of the original house, from the bricks to the tiles.
蘅芷院内最喜人的绣楼，
是360度全回栏式的结构，
站在楼上能将楼内、外景色一览无遗。
绣楼现已做客房使用，
可体验在白族大户人家做客。
The buildings are typically one or two stories tall, and are constructed from local materials, such as mud bricks and wooden beams. The most charming part of the Hengzhi Courtyard is the 360-degree fence-like structure of the embroidery building. Standing on the building offers a panoramic view of both the interior and exterior view. The embroidery building is now used as a guest room, and visitors couldexperience the hospitality of a wealthy Bai family.
叁号院的咖啡馆里来一杯热拿铁，
在昆明冬日的暖阳中，
静静地听风吹树叶发出的沙沙声。
The courtyard is filled with various flowers and plants, and cats lounge lazily in the sun. In the coffee shop of courtyard No. 3, you can enjoy a hot latte, quietly listening to the rustling of leaves in the warm sun of a Kunming winter day.
