2023年9月17日，
普洱景迈山古茶林文化景观，
成功列入世界遗产名录，
成为中国第57项世界遗产，
全球首个茶主题世界文化遗产花落中国。
The Cultural Landscape of Old Tea Forests of Jingmai Mountain in Pu'er, southwest China, was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List on 17 September 2023， becoming China's 57th entry on that list. It is also the first World Heritage Site with a theme of tea.
景迈山古茶林文化景观
坐落于云南省普洱市
澜沧拉祜族自治县。
是由古茶林、森林和传统村寨
构成的不断演进的文化景观。
在10至14世纪，
布朗族、傣族的先民，
便先后迁徙至景迈山定居，
并开始驯化栽培茶树，
逐步形成万亩古茶林。
The Cultural Landscape of Old Tea Forests of Jingmai Mountain is located in Lancang Lahu Autonomous County, Pu'er City, Yunnan Province. It is an evolving cultural landscape consisting of ancient tea forests, tea plantations, forests, and traditional villages. The landscape was jointly created by the ancestors of the Bulang people who immigrated to Jingmai Mountain in the 10th century AD and discovered and domesticated wild tea trees, as well as by the ancestors of the Dai people.
普洱景迈山古茶林文化景观，
申报遗产面积7167.89公顷，
缓冲区面积11927.85公顷，
包含5片规模宏大、保存完好的古茶林，
和分布其中的9个古村寨，
以及古茶林之间的3片分隔防护林，
呈现出“森林—茶树—村落”的
平面景观格局。
The core zone of the World Heritage Site covers about 7167.89 hectares on Jingmai Mountain. Its buffer zone spreads to about 11,927.85 hectares. Consisting of five large-scale, well-preserved old tea forests, nine traditional villages within them, and three protective-partition forests between them, the landscape stands out as an example of rich tea culture centered on the ancient practices of cultivating and preserving the old tea forests.
景迈山人，
信奉万物有灵，
这源于景迈山先民的原始信仰，
对天地万物充满敬畏与保护，
方才使得景迈山人与茶树、
环境能够和谐共生。
景迈山先民经过长期探索，
逐步了解普洱茶树的生长特性，
形成了智慧的林下茶种植技术。
形成了林茶共生，
人地共荣的生态。
Bulang people adapted to the forest ecosystem along with the Dai people and other ethnic groups who came later to the region, to create the unique understory tea cultivation model, a traditional planting practice that has survived the widespread modern tea plantation technology. Throughout thousand years of preservation and management, the landscape took its shape as a tea forests-plantations symbiosis that embodies the idea of harmony with nature.
景迈山的先民，
为了让茶树更好的融入森林的生态，
会选择在森林间有限度地开发茶林。
为了保证茶树的更好生长，
会选择性的砍伐，
对茶树生长不利的植物，
同时会保留一些高大的乔木，
为茶树保留它们最喜欢的漫射光。
To better integrate the tea trees into the ecology of the forest, the ancestors of Jingmai Mountain would choose to develop the tea forest in a limited way within the forest. To ensure better growth of the tea trees, they would selectively cut down the plants that were not good for the growth of the tea trees, and at the same time, they would leave some tall trees to maintain their preferred diffused light for the tea trees.
景迈山森林的垂直分布为，
茶林上层是高大的乔木，
中间层是以茶树为主的灌木层，
地表是草本植物。
茶树地表的土壤，
以及草木层和枯枝落叶，
会为茶树提供天然养分。
The vertical distribution of the forest in Jingmai Mountain is that the upper layer of the tea forest is tall trees, the middle layer is a shrub layer dominated by tea trees, and the surface is herbaceous plants. The soil on the surface of the tea trees, as well as the herb layer and dead leaves, provide natural nutrients for the tea trees.
景迈山森林优质的生态环境，
造就了动物物种的多样性，
森林中的鸟类与昆虫，
会帮助茶树免遭害虫的啃食，
是茶树最好的医生，
解决了病虫害威胁茶树生存的问题。
The high-quality ecological environment of the Jingmai Mountain Forest has created a diversity of animal species. Birds and insects in the forest help to protect the tea trees from pests and are the best doctors for the tea trees, solving the problem of pests and diseases that threaten the survival of the tea trees.
景迈山先民
林下种茶的方式，
使茶树生长在立体森林系统中，
为茶树创造了理想的生长环境，
如光照、温度、湿度等等，
使茶树处于森林的保护之中。
同时，景迈山人
不会过多干预茶树的生长，
依旧遵循着森林的生存法则，
让茶林变成森林生态的一部分，
与森林的其他物种共生。
Based on longstanding practices, local people developed an under-story growing technique. The way tea was planted under the forest of Jingmai Mountain's ancestors makes the tea trees grow in a three-dimensional forest system, which creates an ideal growing environment for the tea trees, such as light, temperature, humidity, and so on so that the tea trees are under the protection of the forest. At the same time, the people of Jingmai Mountain will not interfere too much with the growth of the tea tree, and will still follow the law of the survival of the forest, so that the tea forest becomes part of the forest ecology and other species of the forest symbiosis.
秋日的景迈山，
云海环绕山腰，
阳光透过古茶树，
投下斑驳的影子。
景迈山古茶林文化景观，
至今仍保持着蓬勃生命力；
景迈人依旧传承着，
森林—古茶树—古村寨的故事~
The cultural landscape of the ancient tea forests of Jingmai Mountain still retains a vigorous vitality, and the people of Jingmai still inherit the history of forests - ancient tea trees - ancient villages~.
