云南，不止是一个名词，

更是永不厌倦的风景~

云南位于中国西南部，

与缅甸、老挝、越南接壤。

昆明是云南的省会，四季温暖如春，

故称为“春城”。

在云南，

火把节，

是云南非常盛大的节日，

也被称为“东方的狂欢节”。

云南的彝族、白族、纳西族、

拉祜族、基诺族等民族都过火把节，

其中彝族火把节最为隆重。

火把节也是彝族日历上的新年节日。

The Torch Festival, a very grand festival in Yunnan, is known as the "Carnival of the East". The Yi, Bai, Naxi, Lahu, Jinuo, and other ethnic groups in Yunnan all celebrate the Torch Festival, of which the Yi Torch Festival is the grandest. It is also the New Year festival in the Yi calendar.

彝族火把节的由来，

与彝族人对火的崇拜有关。

彝族先民生活在高寒山区，

无论是翻耕土地，还是防寒、御兽都需要火，

所以崇拜火，自称为火的民族。

火把节就是彝族人崇拜火最虔诚、

最热烈的仪式和庆典。

The origin of the Yi Torch Festival is linked to the Yi people's worship of fire. The ancestors of the Yi people lived in the alpine mountains and worshipped fire because they needed fire to plow the land and protect themselves from the cold and animals. The Torch Festival is the Yi people's most devout and enthusiastic ceremony and celebration of fire worship.

彝族火把节，

在每年的农历六月二十四至二十八，

传统火把节主要有祭祀祈福和扫邪驱鬼，

由彝族的祭司主持。

火把节白天先杀牛祭祀天地、祖先,

后率锣笙队挨家挨户舞蹈，

到了夜晚，男女老少都点燃火把，

在山间和田地里巡游，

为全村驱邪招福。

The Yi Torch Festival, held every year from 24 to 28 June in the lunar calendar, is a traditional festival of sacrifice and prayer for blessings, presided over by Yi priests. During the day of the Torch Festival, they first kill cows to sacrifice to heaven, earth, and their ancestors, and then dance from house to house with a gong and psalm team. At night, men, women, and children light torches and parade through the mountains and fields to scare away evil spirits and bring good fortune to the whole village.

而现在的火把节，

继承了传统火把节的活动，

同时也是加入了更多娱乐活动，

摔跤、斗牛、跳左脚舞、

赛马、打陀螺、对歌、赛装...

入夜，人们围聚篝火旁，

整夜饮酒歌舞。

现在的火把节

是一个全民欢庆的狂欢节。

Nowadays, the Torch Festival has inherited the traditional activities of the Torch Festival, and at the same time added more entertainment activities, such as wrestling, bullfighting, left-foot dancing, horse racing, playing gyro, singing songs, and dress up contest... After nightfall, people gather around the bonfire and drink, sing and dance all night. Today, the Torch Festival is a carnival celebrated by all.
