Hosting over 20% of species on the planet, the wetland is one of the most important ecological protective screens on earth, which is known as “the kidney of the earth”. With its extremely wide distribution, it is ranked as one of three major ecosystems on earth together with forests and oceans.
海峰湿地
位于云南省曲靖市沾益区，
是云南省内海拔最低、纬度最低，
自然形成的内陆湿地生态系统。
以山、水、林、石、洞、潭、草地为一体，
是云南最具代表性的典型喀斯特湿地景观。
有“九十九山，九十九峰”
以及“云南小桂林”之美誉。
Located in Zhanyi district, Qujing city, Yunnan province, the Haifeng wetland nature reserve refers to an inland wetland with the lowest elevation and lowest latitude in Yunnan. It has typical Karst terrains combining mountains, rivers, forests, stones, caves, pools, grasslands, etc, where the scenery is wildly known as beautiful as Guilin.
海峰湿地，
主要以四块湿地组成，
分别是兰石坡海子、干海子、背海子、黑滩河。
山峰绵延、静卧湖面，
峰绕水，水环山，
宛如一块块蔚蓝的宝石镶嵌在群山之间。
The Haifen wetland nature reserve is consist of four wetlands, including four lakes named Lanshipo, Ganhaizi, Beihaizi, and Heitanhe. Forming by the interaction of both land and water, this beautiful area is as fantastic as a piece of sapphire inlaid in the lush mountains.
海峰湿地湖水碧绿澄澈，
生长着优质水体标志物——海菜花，
每年海菜花盛开时，
为湿地增添了一抹独特且灵动的色彩。
The water of this area is so clear and unpolluted that every year the bright Ottelia acuminate flower- a kind of flower that requires extremely high water quality will bloom along the banks of the lake and bring the reserve a pastoral scene.
每年秋冬季，
海峰湿地便是鸟儿的天堂，
候鸟、留鸟约49种.
其中还栖息着包括黑颈鹤、黑鹳、
白鹤等国家一级保护动物。
此时的海峰湿地，
便成了摄影爱好者的完美之地。
There are 49 kinds of migratory and resident birds, among which the black-necked crane, black crane, and white crane are under state protection. Many experienced photographers and photographic enthusiasts gather from all over the country every year in autumn to collect stunning bird images here.
海峰湿地四季皆可游玩，
春，赏奇峰怪石、花团锦簇，
夏，赏十里万寿菊，风吹草地牛羊现，
秋，赏木落秋草黄、盈盈秋水海菜花，
冬，赏芦苇翩翩、候鸟成群。
The Haifeng wetland reserve can be visited all year round. With the mild breeze, sprouting grass, as well as twittering birds, it is really comfortable to enjoy the beautiful scenery at any time: the fantastic clusters of flowers and grotesque rocks in spring, the sea of chrysanthemum flowers and green meadow in summer, the golden falling leaves and beautiful Ottelia acuminate flower in autumn, as well as the thick reeds and enormous birds in winter.
