云南生活着26个民族，
其中有15个为云南独有，
散布在云南的各个角落。
由于云南山多地少、交通不便，
各地居民处于相对“封闭”状态，

In Yunnan, there are 26 ethnic groups, 15 of which are exclusive to the region and scattered throughout its various corners. 除少数几个民族使用汉语、汉文，
其余几乎都有自己的语言、文字
而留存下来的古籍就超过10万册。
其中最具代表性的有
傣文古籍、纳西族古籍、
彝文古籍、傈僳文古籍等。
卷帙浩繁的云南民族古籍，
生动而真实地记录了
各民族的社会历史发展进程，
是各民族传统文化的重要载体，
也是人类弥足珍贵的世界记忆遗产。
Ancient books are a vital symbol of a people's civilization. Of Yunnan's 25 ethnic minorities, most have their own unique languages and writing systems, with over 100,000 surviving volumes of ancient texts. These include Dai, Naxi, Yi, and Lisu manuscripts, among others. Yunnan's vast collection of ethnic minority literature offers a vivid and authentic account of their social and historical development, serving as a vital carrier of traditional culture and a precious world memory heritage for all of humanity.

元谋大敦子遗址出土的鸡形陶壶

For over 4,000 years, Yunnan has celebrated the art of pottery-making with diverse and complex techniques that reflect China's rich pottery history. From Neolithic times, the ancestors of Baiyang Village in Binchuan produced quality pottery. And from the Dadiwan site in Yuanmou emerged a chicken-shaped pottery that united utility and aesthetics.
瓦当
云南现存的瓦当，
有南诏、大理国时期的遗存物，
更多的是明清以来遗存下来的。
瓦当作为土木结构房屋建筑的伴生物，
已经历了数千年的风雨，
承载着丰厚的民族传统文化。
随着现代化进程的加快，
土木结构建筑深渐淡出历史舞台，
瓦当也日渐式微。
Yunnan province preserves ancient roof tiles from the Nanzhao and Dali kingdoms, with more from the Ming and Qing dynasties. As the companion of timber-structured houses, roof tiles have withstood the test of time for thousands of years, bearing witness to the rich cultural heritage of various ethnic groups. However, with the rapid development of modernization, timber-structured buildings have gradually faded away, and roof tiles are also gradually disappearing.
面具
面具是一种全球性古老文化的象征，
是人类思维意识和宗教情感的产物。
面具的产生
与原始狩猎、宗教信仰、
图腾崇拜等因素有关。
云南民族面具广泛运用于宗教祭祀、
生命礼仪、节日庆典、舞蹈戏剧、
辟邪镇宅等民俗活动中。
面具作为民族艺术的重要组成部分，
至今仍大量存活于云南各民族中。
Masks, a universal symbol of ancient culture, are born out of human thought, consciousness, and religious sentiments. The creation of masks is associated with factors such as primitive hunting, religious beliefs, and totem worship. In Yunnan, ethnic masks are widely used in religious rituals, life ceremonies, festival celebrations, dance performances, and exorcism. As a vital component of ethnic art, masks continue to thrive among various ethnic groups in Yunnan.
乐器
古往今来，
乐器总是伴随着人们的生活，
真实地反映着人们的思想情感。
古滇乐舞曾鼎盛一时，
唐代《南诏奉圣乐》曾誉满长安，
而著名的云南洞经音乐也勃发于明清之际。
云南，堪称“乐器王国”，
根植于悠久厚重的文化积淀里，
是婚丧礼仪、节日庆典、戏曲说唱、
社会交流及宗教祭祀不可或缺的媒介。
