Shangri-La is a special and desirable land. It is a place of towering white snow-capped mountains, deep and winding gorges, dense and lush forests, glorious temples, and simple and kind people.

香格里拉景点众多，

梅里雪山、噶丹·松赞林寺、

纳帕海、独克宗古城...

相比于这些景点，

很多人对于碧沽天池是陌生的，

这里道路难走，人迹罕至，

却藏着无与伦比的美景。

Shangri-La is home to many tourist attractions such as Meili Snow Mountain, Kadam Songtsamling Monastery, Napa Sea, the ancient city of Doklam... Compared to these attractions, many people are not familiar with Bigu Heaven Pool, a place where the roads are difficult and off the beaten track, but where incomparable beauty is hidden.

碧沽天池，

是陈凯歌电影《无极》的外景拍摄地，

因这部电影的上映，

让大众认识了这片秘境。

碧沽天池，

藏语称“楚璋”，意为小湖。

因地处碧沽牧点，

遂取名为碧沽天池。

It was here that Chen Kaige's film "Wuji" was shown to the public and introduced them to this secret place. It is called "Chuzhang" in Tibetan, which means small lake. It is called Bigu Heaven Pool because of its location at Bi Gu's pasture.

碧沽天池

位于香格里拉县小中甸乡联合村，

海拔为3500米左右，

湖泊面积0.21平方公里，

平均水深1.62米，最深处约3米，

湖虽不大，但水色如玉，清澈见底。

湖畔草甸上芳草青青，

各种野花点缀其间，

如火如荼的杜鹃迎风绽放。

Bigu Heaven Pool is located in Shangri-La County, the small Zhongdian Township, the joint village, an altitude of about 3500 meters, a lake area of 0.21 square kilometers, the average depth of 1.62, the deepest about 3 meters, although the lake is not large, but the water color like jade, clear bottom. The meadows around the lake are lush and green, with a variety of wildflowers and rhododendrons blooming like fire.

每年5-8月份，

是最佳的旅游时间，

碧沽天池的高山杜鹃争相开放。

湖畔的杜鹃花成林而布，

花冠硕大，色泽艳丽

以黄杜鹃、白杜鹃和红杜鹃居多，

到花开时节，群芳竞相吐艳，

它们像系在天池的美丽花环。

在离湖稍远的山坡上，

近百亩的矮树樱花杜鹃遍地衍生，

像鲜花地毯一样铺在草甸上，

形成壮观的花海，令人心醉。

The best time to visit the lake is from May to August when the alpine rhododendrons are in full bloom. The rhododendrons on the lake are large and colorful, with yellow, white, and red rhododendrons predominant, and when in bloom they form a beautiful garland of flowers around the pond. On the slopes a little further from the lake, there are almost 100 acres of dwarf cherry rhododendrons, which cover the meadows like a carpet of flowers, creating a spectacular sea of flowers that is mesmerizing.

碧沽天池，

除了杜鹃花海，

周围被原始森林所覆盖，

高大笔直的冷杉、云杉耸立在湖畔，

湖的南面是沼泽区，

水草丛生，野鸟云集，

是黄鸭、麻鸭、

黑颈鹤等水禽的理想栖息地。

也因此每年都会有众多摄影爱好者前往。

In addition to the sea of rhododendrons, Bigu Heaven Pool is surrounded by virgin forest, with tall, straight firs and spruces standing on the shores of the lake, while the southern side of the lake is a marshy area teeming with water plants and gathering wild birds, making it an ideal habitat for water birds such as the yellow duck, mahogany duck, and black-necked crane. This is why it is visited by so many photographers every year.

碧沽天池很美，

离凡尘不远，

却离天堂很近。

高山湖泊、杜鹃林海，

以及难得一见的野生动物，

把这里装点得刚刚好。

Bigu Heaven Pool is beautiful, not far from the earth but close to heaven. The alpine lakes, rhododendron forests, lakes and rivers, and the rare wildlife that can be found there, make this place just right.
