Ondas Inc. (NASDAQ: ONDS) announced on September 23, 2026 that it has acquired Ottopia Defense, alongside Insignito and Caribou Labs, to strengthen its autonomous systems capabilities. The three acquisitions carry a combined initial consideration of $56 million, with up to $32 million in additional payments tied to performance milestones through 2028.
Ottopia Defense combines AI-enabled autonomy, low-latency teleoperation and resilient communications, enabling human operators to supervise multiple unmanned vehicles and take control when needed. Its technology is designed to maintain connectivity in challenging environments where communications may be limited or disrupted.
Ondas plans to integrate these capabilities across its unmanned ground systems, strengthening remote operations and human oversight as part of its broader autonomous defense offering.
Ottopia is one of Automobility’s EXCELerate portfolio companies. We supported its earlier fundraising by bringing ComfortDelGro into its $14.5 million Series A round in January 2023. ComfortDelGro invested $4 million, the largest individual contribution to the round, supporting the development and deployment of Ottopia’s teleoperation platform. Read our earlier announcement.
We are proud to see Ottopia reach this milestone. In our view, the acquisition highlights the wider commercial potential of technologies that connect autonomous systems with human expertise, extending their relevance from mobility into adjacent markets.
Automobility connects innovative companies with strategic partners and investors worldwide, helping them commercialize technologies that advance the future of mobility.
