2，Play out 逐渐发生 展开
We hope this meeting will play out in our favor .
我们希望这场会议进展会对我方有利。
3，It saddens me that ....某事...让我很伤心
It saddens me that she doesn't care about me at all .
我非常难过，她根本就不在乎我。
4，Set sb up 陷害某人，安排见面
My mom set me up with another total stranger , pretty though .
我妈安排我和一个从来没见过的陌生女生相亲，不过还挺漂亮的。
I was set up . I didn't kill nobody .
我被陷害了。我没杀人。
5，Beside oneself 情绪失控，狂喜，发狂
They were beside themselves with fear and worry .
他陷入极度的恐惧和担忧中。
We were beside ourselves when we heard we just won the lottery .
当我们听说我们赢了彩票的时候，我们高兴地不知道说啥好。
6，Lead sb on 使...误信，带领...前进
The estate broker talked beautifully to lead me on .
房产经纪人说得天花烂醉诱导我相信她。
7，Have the upper hand 占优势 占上风
Now the housing markets have slowed down . The buyers have the upper hand .
现在房地产市场增速放缓，买家逐渐占据上风。
8，Wither on the vine （因疏忽、无行动而） 胎死腹中,夭折
We were short-handed back then . Many good projects withered on the vine .
那时候公司很缺人手。好多好项目那时候都不了了之了。
9，Head on 迎面地 正面地
I think it is time for the international community to address those issues head on .
我认为，国际社会现在是时候正面解决那些问题了。
10，With open eyes 完全明白地，惊讶地，极其注意地
I am gonna go in with open eyes and try to innovate .
