大会报告｜加拿大阿尔伯塔大学Dongyang (D.Y.) Li教授简介

Dongyang (D.Y.) Li is a Professor in the Department of Chemical and Materials Engineering at the University of Alberta (Canada), and a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Engineering and the European Academy of Sciences and Arts. He is also a Fellow of the Institute of  Physics (FInstP, UK) and the Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining (FIMMM, UK). His honors include the Canadian Distinguished Materials Scientist Award (2020), the Research Excellence Achievement Award (2024), Metal Physics Award (2024), the Airey Award (2025), Canada’s highest recognition for lifetime achievement in materials and metallurgy, and the IAAM Award for Excellence in Research (2025). He has authored and co-authored over

530 peer-reviewed journal publications and currently serves as Chair of the Asia-Pacific Academic Committee of the International Association of Advanced Materials. Professor Li leads interdisciplinary research spanning electron work function, materials and interface design, tribology, corrosion control, and computational materials science. His group pioneered the use of electron work function as a fundamental descriptor for materials and interface design, establishing an electronic-structure-based approach to materials engineering with broad implications for fundamental science and engineering applications.
