Hiring: Financial Controller | Robotics / Physical AI
📍 Fremont, CA | Onsite
💰 $200K–$280K + Bonus
We’re supporting a fast-growing Bay Area robotics & Physical AI company in hiring a hands-on Financial Controller to build and lead its finance and accounting infrastructure.
This is a foundational role with significant exposure to the CEO and leadership team, with strong potential to grow toward a CFO-level position as the company scales.
Key Responsibilities
• Own monthly & quarterly close and GAAP financial reporting
• Build scalable accounting systems, controls, and processes from the ground up
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, tax, and treasury
• Establish inventory, COGS, and BOM-based product costing processes
• Partner closely with hardware, manufacturing, supply chain, and procurement teams
• Support fundraising, investor reporting, board materials, and financial modeling
• Help leadership manage headcount planning, burn rate, and runway
Ideal Background
• 8+ years of progressive accounting / finance experience
• Controller, Assistant Controller, or Senior Accounting Manager experience
• Strong preference for hardware, manufacturing, robotics, electronics, or other physical-product industries
• Hands-on experience with inventory accounting, COGS, BOM costing, and supply-chain finance
• Startup or high-growth company experience preferred
• CPA strongly preferred
• Mandarin Chinese is a plus, but not required
