Pakistan and China have operationalised the Boundary Joint Commission to further unlock the trade potential of Khunjerab Pass as a vital land gateway. In fiscal year 2025‑26, Pakistan Customs collected Rs15‑billion revenue on Chinese imports through Khunjerab, while Pakistani exports to China and Central Asian countries via the border stood at Rs2.8‑billion. Both sides will upgrade border infrastructure and implement the 2025‑2029 action plan to boost land‑trade facilitation for industrial and commercial cooperation under CPEC Phase‑II.
