As part of the Daimler Supplier Award 2017, Global Procurement Trucks and Buses awarded the supplier Tri-Ring for excellent quality of forged axle components in the Quality category.
作为戴姆勒供应商奖2017的一部分，全球采购卡客车部的供应商三环因其锻造车桥零部件出色的品质被授予了质量组奖项。
When a 40-tonne truck with a star sets off to transport machine parts from Frankfurt to Barcelona, its owner is responsible and a punctual delivery is top priority. A company that contributes to this quality with its products is the Chinese group Tri-Ring and its subsidiaries from Hubei Province. Among other things, high-quality forgings are produced here, which are used in Mercedes-Benz trucks and buses. With an extremely high quality standard in the production of these axle-forged components, Tri-Ring was the Daimler Supplier Award 2017 winner in the Quality category in the international competition. And they were awarded by Global Procurement Trucks & Buses in the Quality category.

Whether steering column or steering axles, whether pressure plates, crankshafts or steering knuckles, the forces acting on these components are many times higher than those in cars. But not only that: These parts are usually exposed to a harsh everyday life. Premature wear must be ruled out, since time-consuming repairs combined with unnecessary downtime can lead to order losses. It is a circumstance that has an immediate negative impact on earnings in commercial use.
不论是转向柱或是转向桥，不论是压力盘、曲轴或转向节，作用在这些零部件上的力是在乘用车中的数倍之大。而且：这些零部件通常暴露在一个严酷的日常环境中。过早磨损必须被排除，因为耗费时间的维修加上不必要的停工时间会导致订单的丢失。这是一个在商业使用中对收入具有即时负面影响的情形。
Previously, steering knuckles for heavy trucks were made almost exclusively from Cr-Ni-Mo steels (V4A), so as to avoid tempering problems from the outset. But more and more the processing techniques have evolved and today lower alloyed steels can be used. These changes to the cheaper materials do not have a negative influence on the mechanical properties. Provided development and production take place at the highest level: Tri-Ring dominates this profession: In three years of producing forgings: Zero defects! This puts Tri-Ring in the premiere league and it has more than earned the Supplier Award.
此前，重型卡车的转向节几乎只用Cr-Ni-Mo钢（V4A）来制造，以避免源头上的回火问题。但是随着更多工艺技术的演进，而今较低的合金钢也可以使用了。这些使用价格较低的材料变化并未对机械性能造成负面影响。发展和生产已在最高水平上进行：三环主导了这项领域：在生产锻件的三年中：零缺陷！这使三环进入了超级联赛，而其意义远不止赢得了供应商奖。

Tri-Ring Group Co., Ltd. is one of the largest auto parts manufacturers in China. What is your secret to success?
贵司成功的秘诀是什么？
The key is modesty in learning, boldness in improvement, and perseverance in quality. Tri-Ring has been proactively learning and applying the world’s most advanced management methodologies and production equipment technologies. This is aimed at overcoming our weaknesses and making continuous improvement. And finally it is our perseverance in quality that lead us to today’s achievement.
关键在于谦虚学习、勇于改进和坚持质量。一直以来，三环积极地学习并应用世界最先进的管理方法和生产装备技术。这是为了克服我们的不足并持续进行改善。而最后正是我们对质量的坚持让我们取得了今天的成就。
What particular hurdle did you have to master?
贵司曾克服了什么具体的障碍？
There are two main challenges we have to overcome. One is the challenge in management, and the other is the inadequate capability of production equipment. In order to satisfy the high quality standard we have been continuously learning to improve our level of management. Meanwhile, we have also been making large scale of investment in the equipment to continuously upgrade the technology and expand the capacity.
我们主要有两方面的挑战。一方面是管理上的挑战，另一方面是生产设备能力不足的问题。为了满足高质量标准和持续增长的需求，我们持续地学习并提升我们的管理水平，同时我们也一直在进行大规模的设备投资，不断升级技术和扩大产能。
How did the award get to your team?
该奖项对于贵司团队有什么影响？
The award to us is a great encouragement. It has deeply inspired our team to move forward on the path of success. Following this inspiration, we also feel the mounting pressure to constantly ask ourselves where and how we can do better. But pressure is also motivation. We are confident that we will delivery even better products and services to our customers.
这个奖项对我们来说是一个巨大的鼓舞。它深深地激励了我们的团队在成功的道路上继续前进。而伴随着这份激励，我们也倍感压力，不断自问我们哪里以及如何能做到更好。但压力亦是动力，我们有信心将更好的产品和服务带给我们的客户。
