该标准适用于可以独立行走和坐立的儿童（参考年龄约为 1 岁~14 岁）使用的各种室内外儿童椅，包括单人椅、长椅、凳子、豆袋椅、躺椅、折叠椅等。如果 3 岁以下的儿童椅能调节到餐桌的配套高度，需要加做高脚椅的测试标准 EN 14988，同样也适用于可以转换成较矮儿童椅的高脚椅产品。
备注:
Toxicity test apply to size 1 only. Verification shall be provided that the migration of heavy metals in the surfaces of any material used that are accessible to the mouth of the child.
有毒元素测试只适用于 Size 1 的产品。所有小孩子嘴巴能够接触到的材料和保护层都需要做有毒元素测试。
Verification shall be provided that all accessible textile materials do not produce surface flash.
所有可接触的纺织品都需要做表面闪火测试。
样本量：2 sets of completed products with assembly instruction (if applicable) is recommended. 1 more set required for each toxicity and flammability test.
