On September 15, 2026, Canadian cross-borderlawyer Hari Nesathurai visited Tahota (Shanghai) Law Firm and met with the VATA Legal Services Team for an in-depth exchange. The two sides discussed the global expansion of Chinese enterprises, cross-border investment and market access between China and Canada, the international development of the healthcare sector, and multi-jurisdictional legal service collaboration, and exchanged views on future cooperation in cross-border legal services.

During the meeting, drawing on his experience in medical devices, pharmaceuticals, and international trade, Hari Nesathurai shared key legal considerations for companies entering different markets, including product registration, regulatory approvals, manufacturing and quality systems, rules of origin, import and export requirements, and distribution channels. The two sides also discussed the cross-border manufacturing, licensing, registration, and commercialization of medical devices, and exchanged views on cooperation arrangements among overseas companies, Chinese manufacturers, and local partners.

Drawing on his international practice experience, Hari Nesathurai shared his perspectives on markets including Canada, West Africa, and the Gulf region.
