【讲座预告】Chinmay教授学术讲座通知

Chinmay Pattnaik is an Associate Professor in the Discipline of International Business at the University of Sydney Business School. He is the Co-Editor-in-Chief of Asia Pacific Journal of Management which is the premier management journal focusing on Asia-pacific region. He is also the John H. Dunning Visiting Fellow Henley Business School, University of Reading, UK. Chinmay’s research focuses on the corporate and global strategies of firms from emerging market economies. He is interested in studying the determinants and consequences of corporate diversification and international strategies of firms in different institutional contexts including India, China and Korea. He critically evaluates and enriches existing theories by applying them to different institutional contexts. His research has been published by Journal of International Business Studies, Human Resource Management, Journal of Business Ethics, Management International Review, Asia Pacific Journal of Management, Journal of Business Research, International Business Review, Journal of International Management and Global Strategy Journal among other leading management journals. His co-edited book ‘Emerging Market Firms in Global Economy’ is published by Emerald Publishing UK. Chinmay frequently lectures on corporate and global strategies of firms to students at the University and industry participants. He is a member of Academy of International Business, Academy of Management, and Asia Academy of Management.

Asia Pacific is the fastest growing region with three of the largest economies in the world. Rapid economic growth of the region is driven by several successful firms with unique management styles. Management researchers have identified such unique management styles which has several implications for countries within and outside the region. This presentation will focus on the unique management systems of firms from Asia Pacific region in last three decades from strategy, organization, and international business literature. The presentation will identify future opportunities for management scholars to pursue for a robust understanding of management research in this region.

This lecture will focus on assisting researchers to publish in Asia Pacific Journal of Management which is a premier management journal in the Asia Pacific region. As the editor in chief of this journal, the presenter will introduce several aspects of the journal and assist researchers to develop their research to publish in the journal.
