工程合同包括了施工过程中所有的合同文件，这类工程合同属于半法律类文本，规定了雇主和施工承包商的各项具体分工和责任，最大程度地监管了施工过程和保护双方的利益。

中外工程合同翻译属于一个跨行业、跨地域的范畴，正确地把握合同的文本结构，语言特点是准确理解、翻译工程合同的关键。通常情况下，译者往往需要查阅大量相关的历史资料来确定合同中专业术语及缩略词等的翻译，尽量做到译文准确、语言简练、用词确切、内容完整。

The Contractor shall visit the site to acquaint themselves with its nature and position, scope of demolition works, the nature of the ground, sub- strata and other local conditions, position of power and water supplies, access roads or any other limitations, and no claims for extras will be considered on account of lack of knowledge in this respect.

承包商应对现场进行考察，熟悉拆迁工程的性质、位置和范围，土地、地层的性质和其他当地条件，供电和供水站位置、通道或任何其他限制，不考虑因缺乏相关知识而提出的额外设备要求。

The Contractor's attention is drawn to the fact that they shall confine themselves to the area necessary for executing the works as instructed by the Architect.

承包商应注意，需按建筑单位指示，只得在必要区域范围内开展施工作业。

The contractor must obtain the Architect's approval and directions regarding the use of any materials found on the Site. Any such material utilized in the execution of the Contract shall be measured and value assessed by the Quantity Surveyor and the amount credited to the Employer.

承包商使用现场发现的材料，须获得建筑单位许可和指示。履行合同时利用的任何此等材料均应由工程造价单位测量并评估，相应金额应由业主承担。

The Drawings used in preparing the Bills of Quantities are scheduled in Appendix "A" at the end of these Bills. Drawings may be inspected at the offices of the Architect or Quantity Surveyor by prior appointment.

Third Party (Public Liability) for an Indemnity of not less than KES 50,000,000.00 or any one accident or series of accidents arising from the same event (unlimited in aggregate). Should the Contractor already hold annual Insurance covering the whole of their activities, and the Indemnity required under this Contract exceeds the Indemnity under the existing policy/is, then further insurance shall be effected and maintained to cover such excess.

针对不低于50,000,000肯尼亚先令，或由任何事故或同一事件引起的系列事故（累计金额不限）的第三方赔偿责任（公共责任）。如承包商已拥有全部活动的年险，且本合同规定的赔偿超出了现有保单下赔偿的，则应增加保险并续保，以涵盖此超额赔偿。
