In September, the 26th China International Fair for Investment and Trade (CIFIT) kicked off in Xiamen. "The 'reservoir' function of the FTZ's comprehensive bonded zone and its tax refund upon entry have not only accelerated our capital recovery but also given us the confidence to cope calmly with international market fluctuations," said Su Zhuquan, deputy secretary of the Party Committee and vice general manager of Xiamen Xiangyu Co., Ltd.

Deepening Two-Way Investment Promotion, Expanding Global Cooperation

作为厦门对外开放前沿，厦门自贸片区累计推出创新举措 677 项，其中全国首创 163 项，31 项改革试点经验获国务院推广。片区以全市不足 3% 的土地面积，贡献了全市 35.5% 的外贸进出口，集聚外资企业超 2300 家，推动 170 余家本土企业出海，外贸与产业经济保持稳健发展。

As Xiamen's frontier of opening-up, the Xiamen FTZ has rolled out 677 innovative measures (163 national firsts), with 31 pilot reforms replicated nationwide. Covering less than 3% of the city's land, it contributes 35.5% of Xiamen's foreign trade, hosts over 2,300 foreign-funded enterprises, and helped more than 170 local enterprises expand overseas.

依据《厦门片区“十五五”实施自贸试验区提升战略专项规划》，片区将持续深化制度型开放，推行链式与场景化招商，统筹“引进来”与“走出去”，加速外资、台资及跨境合作项目落地。

In line with the Special Plan for the 15th Five-Year Plan Period, the area will deepen institutional opening-up, pursue chain-based and scenario-oriented investment promotion, and accelerate the landing of foreign-funded, Taiwan-funded, and cross-border projects.

本届投洽会，厦门自贸片区紧扣“扩大双向投资”与“中东主宾国合作”主线，举办 2026 鼓浪屿论坛等 3 场高端活动。依托沙特资源，联动联合国工发组织等机构，靶向对接中东能源与大宗商品龙头；同时集中展示跨境算力、具身智能等新质产业成果，精准推介航空维修、集成电路、ESG 服务等重点赛道。

At this year's CIFIT, the Xiamen FTZ focused on "expanding two-way investment" and "cooperation with the Middle East guest country." It hosted high-end events like the 2026 Gulangyu Forum, partnered with UNIDO to target Middle East energy leaders, and showcased new-quality industries like cross-border computing and embodied intelligence while promoting key tracks such as aviation maintenance and integrated circuits.

片区统筹“引进来”与“走出去”，抢抓主宾国合作机遇，组织本地企业围绕新能源、数字低碳开展跨境洽谈，拓宽出海渠道。

The area coordinates "bringing in" and "going global" by seizing cooperation opportunities to uncover investment leads and organizing local enterprises to conduct cross-border negotiations on new energy and digital low-carbon sectors.

FTZ reform measures have delivered tangible dividends in cost reduction and efficiency gains," said Su Zhuquan. Currently, Xiamen Xiangyu is leveraging policy advantages to deepen its presence in Belt and Road regions like Southeast Asia and Africa.

Wu Xiaohang noted: "Compared with most domestic sci-tech parks, the Xiamen FTZ has a complete ecosystem tailored to hard-tech enterprises." One-stop services, special support, and bonded R&D mechanisms provide full-chain support, while diverse urban application scenarios offer a core foundation for robot field testing.

At this year's CIFIT, Yuanqi Innovation emerged as a designated robot service provider, demonstrating the innovation strength of the area's tech enterprises.

"We chose the Xiamen FTZ primarily for the opportunities brought by cross-Strait integration and FTZ innovation. Efficient services and preferential policies have strengthened our confidence," said Li Minghui. The 26th CIFIT features a dedicated cross-Strait integration zone to help Taiwan enterprises connect with investors and accelerate project industrialization.
