Brian Holland

Brian Holland is a M&A corporate finance professional. He is the Director of Corporate Development at Revera, an operator and manager of retirement communities in Canada, the US and the UK, with over 500 retirement communities, 50,000 residents and 45,000 employees.

Brian is a Board Member of AssessMed, a Canadian independent medical evaluation service provider. He previously worked in private equity (Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan) and investment banking (CIBC, Macquarie).

As a side passion project several years ago, Brian co-founded DrivingTests101.com, which has helped 1.5 million people study and pass their written driving tests across 11 countries through its website and mobile apps. Brian has an HBA from Ivey Business School at Western University.

AJ Tibando

AJ will talk about her journey as a government official and an entrepreneur. AJ Tibando is Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officerat SoJo, a social purpose business that helps organizations better support aspiring social entrepreneurs in launching their ventures through online tools and workshops.

Through SoJo, AJ has helped train over 2,000 young social entrepreneurs and worked with over 30 organizations, including Cornell University, Ivey School of Business, Rotman School of Business, and Queen's University, helping them to incorporate social impact into their business programming. SoJo has raised over $300,000 in government funding to support their growth.

AJ previously served as a Senior Policy Advisor in the Ontario government, working in the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities, the Ministry of Research and Innovation, and the Ministry of Community and Social Services, where she worked on policy initiatives including the 30% Off Tuition Grant, the Ontario Brain Institute, and the Social Assistance Review Commission.

AJ has a BA in Political Science from the University of British Columbia and a MA in Political Science from the University of Waterloo.
