On September 7, 2026, Dr. Mohanad N. AL-Shroofy, Cultural and Educational Affairs Advisor at the Cultural Section of the Embassy of the Republic of Iraq in China, visited AmyFair or a symposium on China-Iraq two-way study abroad cooperation. The discussion focused on establishing a long-term exchange mechanism for Iraqi students pursuing further studies in China and Chinese students studying in Iraq.
He Shaoqing, Professor and President of the Alumni Association at Yiwu Industrial & Commercial College, attended the exchange event. The multi-party gathering built a three-party linkage platform among universities, enterprises and the embassy, opening up channels for educational exchange and cultural communication between Chinese and Iraqi youth. Leveraging Yiwu’s strengths in international trade and exhibition industry, the platform supports mutual learning and exchange between young people of the two countries.

During the symposium, Dr. Mohanad N. AL-Shroofy presented Iraq’s higher education resources and warmly welcomed Chinese students to pursue academic studies and further education in Iraq. Meanwhile, both sides focused on discussing practical implementation solutions for Iraqi students’ study and internship programs in China.
Leveraging Yiwu’s export-oriented industrial advantages, AmyFair plans to build a comprehensive platform for international students from Iraq to support their academic learning and social practice in China, and promote regular educational and cultural exchanges between young people of China and Iraq.
