Making its debut as an exclusive benefit for visitors to NOTES MATERIALS, the SAMPLE KIT contains 12 premium fragrance materials supplied by participating exhibitors (1 ml each), extending the exploration of raw materials beyond the exhibition. You can revisit, compare and document each material at your own pace, while further exploring its potential in fragrance creation and product development.

The SAMPLE KIT brings together distinctive ingredients from notable source regions in China and around the world, showcasing advanced extraction and refining techniques. It spans natural extracts, essential oils, absolutes, aroma molecules and classic fragrance bases.  Highlights include an agarwood extract obtained from aquilaria sinensis through supercritical CO₂ extraction and Synarome’s Ambrarome Absolu, created before 1926; green mandarin from Sicily; organic Himalayan silver fir sourced from high-altitude forests above 2,800 metres in Nepal; and distinctly Chinese materials including Xinhui Chenpi, osmanthus from Huangshan, magnolia flower from Guangxi and Jinpen pomelo. Together, the 12 materials form a compact index of origins, techniques and olfactory expressions.

Cistus does not grow in fertile gardens but thrives among the scrub and cliffs of the Mediterranean, where poor soil and scorching sun forge its tenacious character.

In 1988, Biolandes established a subsidiary in the heart of Spain‘s Huelva Province for on-site production of labdanum and cistus extracts; in 2013, we perfected an automated workshop for labdanum gum production. Our Cistus By-Absolute is obtained by solvent-extracting the residual base after essential oil distillation, then processing the concentrate into a true absolute.
