WTE 2026 Takes Forward Water Technology Development
Water is foundation for life, industry and ecosystem. With fast-growing world population and economic as well as social development, water resources problems are outstanding. Nowadays most of the world population live in areas with water resources shortage, and they can not even access to clean drinking water. The deteriorating climate change, flood, drought and other extreme weathers post stark challenges to global water safety assurance. To cope with this, the UN urges the world to act proactively to share advanced philosophies and tech results in water resources sector, adopt energy-saving and environmental friendly and eco-friendly integrative governance measures so as to realize the water-related sustainability by 2023.
To cope with global water safety challenges, China upholds its new development philosophy of innovation, coordination, green, open and sharing and continues its concept of water conservation first, space balance, systematic governance and a two-pronged approach. It coordinates water disaster control and prevention, water resources conservation, water ecosystem conservation and recovering, water environment governance, and safeguards the water supply of 20% of world population with merely 6% of global freshwater, contributing its efforts to realize the UN 2030 sustainable goals and the building of a community of shared future for mankind.
The 8th Wuhan International Water Technology Expo (WTE 2027) is slated to be held at Wuhan International Expo Center from March 11 - 13 in 2027 for better international exchange, tech innovation and co-operation in water industry. We cordially invite and welcome companies, heavyweights and luminaries to the fairground to discuss and share new ideas, tech, application in the water sector, contributing a wonderful water mega event to the world.
Recap of WTE 2026
The 8th Wuhan International Water Technology Expo was held from April 23 to 25, 2026 at Wuhan International Expo Center, with an exhibition area of nearly 40,000 square meters. Over 500 domestic and international water industry enterprises will participate, showcasing new technologies, new materials, and new equipment in wastewater treatment, membranes and membrane accessories, pumps, valves and piping, digital water, water supply and drainage networks, environmental monitoring, and smart environmental protection. The expo is expected to attract 40,000 professional visits, covering water resources and water affairs authorities, water utilities, sewage treatment plants, planning, design and research institutes, engineering companies, construction industry, industrial end-users, and distributors/agents.

Over 10 professional forums and business-matching events were held, including the Hubei Green Water Economy High-Quality Development Conference & Expo Opening Ceremony, 2026 China–Israel Water Industry Business Matchmaking & Exchange, Forum on Industrial Integration and Practice in Green Water Economy Development, 2026 Ecological Environment Development Forum, Hubei Water-Saving Industry Supply & Demand Matchmaking Event, Smart Water Management & Digital Twin Conference, Hongmeng-Based Digital Water Economy High-Quality Development Forum, and Product & Technology Presentation Forum.
