We are pleased to share that MARI Group, the global events and experiences company founded by Ari Emanuel with Mark Shapiro as principal investor and board member, has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire ATG Entertainment from Providence Equity Partners.
Founded in 2025, MARI Group draws on decades of leadership at the forefront of culture and entertainment. The MARI portfolio currently includes Frieze, Barrett-Jackson, the Miami Open, the Mutua Madrid Open, TodayTix Group, and Hyde Park Winter Wonderland, among others. MARI is backed by several leading investment firms, including Apollo, Ares, QIA, and RedBird.
ATG operates a portfolio of 70+ venues across the UK, US, Germany, and Spain, including seven on Broadway and ten in London's West End. Its venues host roughly 17,000 performances and nearly 19 million theatergoers each year. The acquisition will significantly expand MARI’s live entertainment platform, adding theatre as a defining pillar of MARI’s portfolio spanning sport, art, entertainment, and lifestyle.
