Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer ('Freshfields') has appointed Tony Chow to lead the firm’s Hong Kong contentious insolvency practice. Based in Hong Kong, he will form part of the firm’s Asia Restructuring and Capital Solutions team and will work in tandem with the firm’s Dispute Resolution practice.

Chow joins Freshfields from a leading international law firm where he was the director of restructuring & insolvency in Hong Kong. He has over a decade of experience advising clients on distressed situations, contentious and non-contentious restructurings, corporate insolvencies, and a broad range of commercial and corporate disputes. Earlier in his career, Chow was admitted to the New York and Hong Kong bar. Now as a Solicitor-Advocate, he regularly appears as an advocate/counsel for clients in court proceedings involving restructuring and insolvency matters as well as high-stakes disputes. Chow is a graduate of the University of Oxford and Columbia Law School.
