Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer (‘Freshfields’) has provided Hong Kong and U.S. law advice to J.P. Morgan Securities (Far East) Limited, China International Capital Corporation Hong Kong Securities Limited and CLSA Capital Markets Limited, joint sponsors in the global offering and listing of H shares of Shanghai Chicmax Cosmetic Co., Ltd. (‘Shanghai Chicmax’) on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange (‘HKSE’). Trading in the H shares commenced today (22 December 2022).

Shanghai Chicmax is a multi-brand cosmetics company, focusing on the development, manufacturing and sales of skincare, maternity and childcare products. According to industry research, it ranked among the top five Chinese domestic cosmetics companies in terms of retail sales between 2015 and 2021.
