SAIL GLOBAL Youth Sailing Camp is finally getting back on the agenda in July and August this year!

Are you ready for opening full sails in the wind, breaking waves, racing on the lake, no time-limit playing in the warm summer water, tanning your skin and refreshing your mind and leaving all those Omicron, lockdown stuff behind your mind.

Learn beyond family and school

Sailing camp is undoubtedly one of the perfect options for youths. Last summer had witnessed young campers from 15 nations joining in, forming truly multinational groups for them to share cross-culture ideas. These super successful sailing camps not only had won trust and praise from parents, but also had rewarded campers with friendship, confidence, nautical knowledge and skills and countless light-hearted memories. Some of them even had took advanced sailing courses seeking to be certified sailors and taking sailing as a lifestyle for leisure.

Sailing is challenging for beginners but more educational. When the youth try to handle the sailboat, lots of factors have to be considered. First of all, one has to apply all the theories into to practice when getting on board. Then she/he must deal with machinery works, wind, wave and boat altogether. It often starts with more or less panic which will finally turn into courage and enjoyment when the mass is got under control. Sailing also requires the crew to develop their leaderships and team spirits so as to steer the boat safely and speedily via cooperation and communication. Last but not least, sailing enables youths to better understand nature and respect its power and laws.

All in all, the sailing camp is about fun and unique summer experiences, which is worthy to explore by youths.

 Q&A

Do I have to wear a life jacket?

Absolutely! Wearing a life jacket when you use our equipment is one of those things we won’t budge on. But we’ll give you one that fits perfectly, and our team will help you however they can with putting it on, checking the zippers, and making sure your it’s safe and you’re snug as a bug! You must wear your life jacket for the entirety of your boating.

Will I tip over when on the boat ?

It´s possible, but more likely this will not happen. Our main boat J80 has a heavy keel which prevent the boat from capsizing. If you try one of the smaller boasts like a laser, you might maybe capsize with stronger wind conditions. But don’t worry. First we will train the capsizing and second you will wear a life jacket. Safety first!!
