King & Wood Mallesons releases Think Tank Report: Law and Practice under the Belt & Road Initiative V (English version)
The Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) is a new economic globalisation scheme proposed by China in response to the current turbulent international economic situation which benefits the whole world. The BRI aims to achieve shared benefits and win-win results through interconnection, consultation and joint construction of a road of peace, promoting the building of a community with a shared future for mankind. The joint construction of the "Belt and Road" spans different countries and regions, varied development stages and multiple historical traditions. As a new platform for global economic cooperation and development, the BRI provides abundant opportunities and serves as action guide for Chinese enterprises to boost overseas economic cooperation. The Chinese enterprises intending to invest in foreign countries, while benefiting from substantial opportunities, also confront challenges.
It is an important mission of Chinese lawyers to provide solid legal services for the construction of the Belt and Road Initiative.
