With her extensive experience in the Asia-Pacific market and a robust international legal industry network, Ms. Hamzah's arrival will significantly enhance KWM's international brand and further support clients' growing cross-border legal needs. Ms. Hamzah will join on July 1st and will be based in Beijing, working with partners across all practice groups.
A seasoned legal professional with nearly three decades of experience across the Asia-Pacific region, Ms. Hamzah has practiced in Malaysia, Japan, Indonesia, Singapore, and beyond. She specialises in major infrastructure project financing, M&A transactions, and has deep expertise in aviation, banking, insurance, mining, and oil & gas sectors. Recognised for her pioneering work in cross-border securitisation, structured finance, and Islamic finance, she has represented investors from Asia, the U.S., the UK, and Europe in high-value domestic and offshore multi-currency deals.
Prior to joining KWM, Ms. Hamzah served as the Asia-Pacific Head of Legal Practice at a leading global professional services firm and as Regional Managing Partner of a prominent Southeast Asian law firm. She also holds longstanding leadership roles at the International Bar Association (IBA), cementing her influence across the international legal community.
