5月10日，“湾区合作，共赢未来”——深港-伦敦经贸交流会在泰晤士河旁的伦敦四季酒店举行，中电智谷与谢菲尔德大学在大会上签订合作备忘录，拟设立双边创新中心，推进英国先进技术在深圳的转化落地。
On May 10, “Cooperate in Greater Bay Area, Build a Winning Future”——Shenzhen & Hong Kong -London Economic and Trade Cooperation Conference was held at the Four Seasons Hotel London by River Thames, during which CEC i-Valley and The University of Sheffield signed a memorandum of cooperation at the conference to establish a bilateral innovation center to promote the conversion and landing of British advanced technology in Shenzhen.
本次活动由深圳市人民政府主办，香港贸易发展局、英中贸易协会、深圳市电子商会支持，深圳市商务局、深圳市委大湾区办、深圳市人民政府外事办公室承办，中外嘉宾200余人出席活动。
The event is hosted by Shenzhen Municipal People’s Government, supported by Hong Kong Trade Development Council, China-Britain Business Council, Shenzhen Electronic Chamber of Commerce, and organized by Shenzhen Municipal Commerce Bureau, Shenzhen Municipal Office of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and Foreign Affairs Office of Shenzhen Municipal People’s Government. Chen Rugui, May of Shenzhen and other Chinese and British leaders witnessed the signing ceremony of the cooperation project. Shenzhen CEC i-Valley Operation Co., Ltd. signed a contract with The University of Sheffield, aiming to establish a bilateral innovation base, achieve joint development of production, learning and research projects, provide solutions and innovative knowledge to industries and enterprises, carry out joint research projects, set up postdoctoral workstations, and establish collaborative research and development laboratories and so on. 5月9日上午，代表团参加深港-伦敦经贸交流会的深圳企业代表团参访谢菲尔德大学，参观了谢菲尔德大学AMRC（高端制造研究中心）-英国国家级制造业创新中心。AMRC是由大中小企业和大学共建的工业升级知识共享平台，2001年由谢大和波音合作成立。在其中的未来工厂和17年建成的2050工厂，与会来宾参观部分先进制造业研发支撑体系，包括新品试制、原型开发、设计改进、工艺优化、功能测试等。AMRC现有会员有100余家，包括波音、空客、劳斯莱斯、罗尔斯罗伊斯等，其接受会员企业委托，开发研制其所需的新技术、新工艺、新产品。AMRC也协助作为大企业供应商的中小企业完成技术升级，形成了研究机构与整个产业供应链的良好合作。2050工厂是全球首个全部可重构装配及零件制作业设备进行合作研究的工厂，可在生产不同高价值零件组及一次性零件之间快速切换成为新时代飞机及能源科技相关领域研究的发源地，并满足航空业及其他高端制造业的未来需求。
On the morning of May 9, the Shenzhen Enterprise Delegation participating in the Shenzhen-Hong Kong-London Economics Exchange Conference visited The University of Sheffield and visited the Sheffield AMRC (Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre) - the UK National Manufacturing Innovation Center. AMRC is a knowledge sharing platform for industrial upgrading jointly established by large and medium-sized enterprises and universities, which was established in 2001 by The University of Sheffield and Boeing. In Future Factory and Factory 2050 built in 2017, the guests visited some advanced manufacturing R&D support systems, including trial production of new products, development of prototype, design improvement, process optimization, and functional testing. Currently, AMRC has more than 100 members, including Boeing, Airbus, Rolls Royce, Rolls-Royce, etc., for which it is commissioned to develop new technologies, new processes and new products. AMRC also assists small and medium-sized enterprises as large enterprise suppliers to complete technology upgrades, forming a good cooperation between research institutions and the entire industry supply chain. Factory 2050 is the UK's first factory for collaborative research with fully reconfigurable manufacturing and assembly facility, which enables rapid switching between the production of different high-value parts and disposable parts, making it the birthplace of new era aircraft and energy technology-related research and meeting the future needs of the aviation industry and other high-end manufacturing industries.

Professor Dave gave a welcome speech to the guests of Shenzhen, and introduced the situation of The University of Sheffield and the areas in which it is responsible and the good impression of Shenzhen. Wang Youming, Director-General of Shenzhen Municipal Commerce Bureau, and Wang Shuifa, Deputy Director of Shenzhen Municipal Education Bureau introduced the city profile and education in Shenzhen, and invited The University of Sheffield to set up a campus in Shenzhen. Sun Wei, General Manager of Shenzhen CEC i-Valley Operation Co., Ltd. introduced the overview of Huaqiangbei and CEC i-Valley and expressed the hope for more cooperation with The University of Sheffield.
