The government has decided to launch the Vision Pakistan 2047 programme on August 12, with the goal of transforming Pakistan into a trillion-dollar economy.

According to sources, the programme will provide a long-term roadmap for economic development, sustainable growth and structural transformation of the national economy.

Under the initiative, the government will introduce measures to provide the younger generation with greater opportunities in education, innovation and economic development.

Sources said the government's Uraan Pakistan Plan would be aligned with the objectives and framework of Vision Pakistan 2047.

The Prime Minister's Office has sought strategic targets from ministries and government institutions for implementation of the programme. Ministries will submit proposed reforms, development targets and long-term plans.

The programme will focus on national development, economic transformation, human capital development and technology, while also incorporating climate sustainability and governance reforms.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is expected to formally launch Vision Pakistan 2047 on August 12, according to sources in the Prime Minister's Office.

At-Tahur Limited (PREMA) announced on Tuesday it had expanded its product portfolio with the launch of Gelato, a premium dairy ice cream.

PREMA announced this in a notice to the Pakistan Stock Exchange today.

"This launch marks another strategic step towards diversification and expansion of the product portfolio, reinforcing its commitment to providing high-quality options to consumers,"the company said.

It added that the introduction of Prema Gelato will further strengthen the market presence of the company and"contribute positively towards future growth".

PREMA was incorporated in Pakistan as a public limited company in 2007. The company is engaged in the production and processing of milk and dairy products.

Last year, the company announced to set up a wholly owned subsidiary company in Pakistan. The subsidiary would be engaged in the trading of materials, including but not limited to maize silage, maize corn, and bypass fat, the company said back then.
