Senior Product Development Engineer

>>Key Responsibilities:

1. Provide technical leadership and expertise throughout the product development lifecycle for key customer projects and New Product Introduction (NPI).

2. Own the design and development of complex Engineered-to-Order (ETO) projects, creating and approving critical 2D/3D drawings and specifications.

3. Lead and manage the APQP process for multiple or high-priority projects, ensuring all phases (from design to production) are executed flawlessly and on schedule.

4. Serve as the primary technical interface in Design Reviews, both internally and with key suppliers and customers, driving decisions and resolving advanced technical challenges.

5. Lead the review and validation of CAD models and FEA results, collaborating with Global Product Engineering to ensure design integrity and performance standards.

6. Spearhead prototype development, testing strategy, and validation activities; analyze results and make data-driven design recommendations.

7. Initiate and lead Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VAVE) and cost reduction projects from concept to implementation.

8. Own the Engineering Change Request (ECR) process for assigned product lines, evaluating impact and ensuring robust implementation.

9. Act as a key technical resource for the Field Return team, leading root cause analysis and implementing permanent corrective actions for critical field issues.

10. Mentor and coach junior Product Development Engineers, fostering skill development and knowledge sharing within the team.

>>Requirements:

1. Expert proficiency in 2D/3D CAD software (Creo/ProE highly preferred)

2. Bachelor’s degree or above in Mechanical/Automotive Engineering or equivalent. Master’s degree is a plus.

3. Minimum 5-7 years of progressive engineering experience, preferably within the automotive or bearing industry.

4. Deep technical expertise in bearing design, application engineering, and manufacturing processes.

5. Proven experience in leading APQP projects and a strong understanding of automotive quality core tools (PPAP, DFMEA, PFMEA, Control Plans).

6. Demonstrated project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

7. Excellent planning, coordination, and communication skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and customers.

8. Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to technical challenges.

9. Fluent command of written and oral English.

10. Willing to travel domestically and internationally as required.
