Internationally acclaimed pianist Behzod Abduraimov presents a solo recital featuring works by Brahms, Czerny, Liszt, Debussy, and Stravinsky. The program brings together works from different periods of classical piano repertoire, including well-known compositions such as Liszt’s "Après une lecture de Dante" and Stravinsky’s "Three Movements from Petrushka."

The Red Stars present a high-energy pop concert built entirely around iconic feel-good anthems made famous by some of the biggest female pop artists of recent decades. Girls Just Wanna Have Fun is designed as a full-on party night, with nonstop hits that are instantly recognisable and made for singing, dancing, and letting loose. It brings together a string of crowd-favourite songs that have defined girls' nights out, celebrations, and dance-floor moments across generations.

This Ballet Stars Gala brings étoiles and principal artists from the Paris Opera Ballet to Shanghai for a program of classical ballet excerpts. The gala features highlights from works such as Swan Lake, Giselle, and Don Quixote, showcasing French ballet artistry in a live stage setting.

Fotografiska's weekly Night at the Museum gets a skateboarding takeover this time around. In collaboration with Nike SB, the museum hands the keys over to a lineup of skaters, photographers, DJs and artists for an evening that mixes exhibitions with live music, talks, installations and late-night drinks. It's less "quiet night at the gallery" and more a cultural crossover, part exhibition opening, part party, with museum access included throughout the night. Read on

Looking like a real fun Wednesday show for live digital Hardcore, screamo, trance, and deconstructed club music down at anything-goes, DIY venue Cedarland down in C-Park. Headlining the night and playing live is Guinneissik, an artist who combines noise, electro, reggaeton, trance, and more into some crazy digital hardcore dance music that's fun, fresh, and maximal. In its review of his latest album, GIRL I LOVE YOU, Pitchfork said he excels at distilling global club genres and making them his own. Read on

Community focused underground club Heim, a place that just feels real pure, you know, turns five years young this weekend. They’re celebrating with two days of parties and like 28 DJs at their Sauna space on Changle Lu, which is right where they started before moving around a bit and then comin’ back home, to what is now called Green Station. The new lounge/shisha/party spot, Candyshop, opens on the corner of Huaihai and Fenyang Lu this Friday night. They play hip hop, afro, latin, and house and it's from some of the people behind the much-loved and dearly departed hip hop club Ninja, along with other partners. For the first night of the opening weekend, they've got a strong Shanghai-based DJ lineup with MMQ, Warlock, and D.Fancii holding it down from 10pm-4am. Read on

Hyperasia is C-Park club Illum’s ongoing and very lit dive into Asian internet culture, grassroots dance music, and forgotten club history, celebrating everything from QQ Space and Eurobeat to Vinahouse and regional rave scenes. This edition features DJ Kosevic, known for his deep dives into ‘90s Guangdong sounds, alongside Ouuuuuu (DJ EQ), whose sets and productions blend Asian doujin music, classic rave, UK bass, and internet gems. They’re joined by eight more DJs and a VJ for what should be a wild night.

ROCKBUNDLESS Soundstage (hosted by ROCKBUND and OKOK) is a three-day music festival celebrating and revitalizing the Capitol Theatre, located on the banks of Suzhou Creek just before it meets the Huangpu River. Inviting seven bands to perform inside the theater before its upcoming renovation, the project is a perfect meeting of old and new, as some of the scene's most exciting voices look to "reawaken" the landmark building. After a three-year hiatus, he rejoins with his band, the Paramecia (featuring esteemed musicians such as Weng Quxian, Han Shufan, Chen Shunshun) as they return with their brand new album ‘Elegies and Joys’. Seminal rock outfit Hang on the Box - a household name across the globe as one of the first Chinese punk acts to perform outside of China - has evolved countless times over the past decade - shifting away from their feisty riot girl beginnings as singer Gia has leaned into her melodic side more and more. With more airy guitar riffs, psychedelic-tinged synthesizers and other electronic flourishes, the band has matured quite a bit - with their 2025 LP Spiritual War showcasing a band that’ll be 'forever young, powerful, fresh, full of curiosity, and constantly surprising'. Sludge with a grunge spirit, Shenzhen’s DULL came out swinging in 2025 with their debut. Ecke Wu, who put in her time as the singer for Shanghai shoegaze outfit Forsaken Autumn before heading to Europe, has been building quite the catalogue over the long years herself - following her own muse via lush, ethereal releases, including last year’s 'A Dream Which One Cannot Awake From'. Steering clear of the thick walls of sound and distortion, layers of fuzz and synthesizers instead complement the singer’s heart laid bare, giving a sense of space to the emotional turmoil and melancholy that resonates across her dream pop soundscapes. Head bang your Sunday night away over at Pudong’s Cream Club as a spread of the metal scene’s newest and most nefarious characters converge including Gothic doom metal outfit Aeonian Silence, brutal death metal renegades Disowuxlion, death thrashers Dossuary - inspired by the greats of Sweden - and melodic death metal act Dossuary. Righteous.
Casual, colorful, and quirky Spanish tapas bar Tomatito celebrates 12 years in the game this weekend. From the Taixing Lu days back in 2014 to their Xintiandi roof in 2026, their parties are good times. FATHOM has launched a new weekend brunch served every Saturday and Sunday from 11am to 4pm, with terrace seating overlooking the Bund. The menu focuses on seafood, starting with two sharing platters: Seafood Platter No.1 (888rmb), which includes Scottish langoustines, New Zealand Moana oysters, Kamchatka king crab and Sakhalin scallops, and Seafood Platter No.2 (1,088rmb), which adds 10-year-aged sturgeon caviar to the selection. Other brunch dishes draw inspiration from different cuisines, including Peruvian ceviche with Norwegian salmon, Argentine-style langoustine escabeche, gazpacho with Sakhalin scallops, Crab Benedict wrapped in a Russian blin, black cod fish and chips in Japanese nori tempura, a French omelette with eel, and Crêpe Suzette finished with Hennessy.
