Highland Park, one of only two distilleries in the Orkney Isles, is the world's most northerly whisky distillery.

Cask Strength Heather is a new special edition single-malt that has been crafted with 100% peat-smoked barley to offer the most vibrant expression of Orkney heathered peat. This whisky is a playful, aromatic twist on the signature Highland Park taste, bottled at cask strength.

It's matured in a combination of first-fill European and American sherry-seasoned oak casks, alongside refill casks. On the nose and palate, expect aromatic floral and herbal peat smoke, with notes of roasted marshmallow, frangipane tart, and vanilla. Layers of sweet orchard fruit emerge, complemented by a delicate touch of heather honey.

Nose: Raisin-studde shortbread and roasted apples lead to layers of fresh herbs: lavender, rosemary and thyme, with a touch of fresh heather. Cocoa and dark chocolate notes develop.

Palate: Soft char and rich raisin is followed by intense brown sugar and baking spice. Blackcurrants and liquorice follow.

Finish: Raisins, brown sugar and blackcurrants with lingering cherries and menthol.
