CCG representatives took part in multiple panels at the high-level international forum, which brought together senior officials, diplomats, international organisations, and think tank experts.

Henry Huiyao Wang, Founder and President of the Center for China and Globalization (CCG), and Mabel Lu Miao, Co-Founder and Secretary-General of CCG, attended the Dubrovnik Forum 2026 in Croatia from June 26 to 27, joining a series of discussions on the changing global order, artificial intelligence, critical materials, global health, and Asia-Pacific security.

This year’s forum, held under the theme “The Age of Multipolarity: Many Directions, One Future,” brought together political leaders, senior officials, diplomats, representatives of international organisations, and think tank experts from around the world.

High-level participants included Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenković; Croatian Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Gordan Grlić Radman; Portuguese Minister of State and Foreign Affairs Paulo Rangel; Italian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Antonio Tajani; Council of Europe Secretary General Alain Berset; OSCE Secretary General Feridun H. Sinirlioğlu; and Lu Shaye, Special Representative of the Chinese Government on European Affairs.

Henry Huiyao Wang spoke on June 26 at the think tank panel “Emerging Powers in a Multipolar World – Many Paths, One Destination,” the first working session following the opening segment. The session was moderated by Mihaela Papa, Director of Research and Principal Research Scientist, and Director of the BRICS Lab at the MIT Center for International Studies. Speakers also included Charles Powell, Director of the Elcano Royal Institute; Luanda Mpungose, Outreach and Partnership Manager at the South African Institute of International Affairs; Rachel Rizzo, Senior Fellow in the Strategic Studies Programme at the Observer Research Foundation; Daniel Kochis, Senior Fellow at the Center on Europe and Eurasia at the Hudson Institute; Paul McCarthy of The Heritage Foundation; and Manoel Corrêa do Lago, Senior Consultant at the Brazilian Center for International Relations.

Later the same day, Wang joined the panel “Geopolitics of Artificial Intelligence: Who will Rule the Digital Future?” moderated by Mato Njavro, Dean of the Zagreb School of Economics and Management. Other speakers included Sania Nishtar, Chief Executive Officer of Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance; Tatiana Valovaya, Director-General of the United Nations Office at Geneva; Ivan Crnčec, State Secretary at Croatia’s Ministry of Justice, Public Administration and Digital Transformation; and Tomasz Snażyk, CEO of AI Chamber CEE.

Mabel Lu Miao participated on 26 June in “Melting Ice, Rising Stakes: Critical Materials, Geopolitical Competition and Global Health,” a panel moderated by Valbona Zeneli, Non-resident Senior Fellow at the Atlantic Council. Željko Reiner, Deputy Speaker of the Croatian Parliament, delivered the keynote remarks. Speakers included Irena Hrstić, Minister of Health of Croatia; Ayano Kunimitsu, State Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan; Hans Henri P. Kluge, WHO Regional Director for Europe; and Daniel Kochis of the Hudson Institute.

▲Asia-Pacific in Motion: New Powers, Old Rivalries@Dubrovnik Forum 2026

On 27 June, Miao also joined “Asia-Pacific in Motion: New Powers, Old Rivalries,” moderated by Đana Luša, Full Professor at the Faculty of Political Science, University of Zagreb. Other speakers included Ly Thuch, Senior Minister and First Vice President of the Cambodian Mine Action and Victim Assistance Authority; Vijavat Isarabhakdi, Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs of Thailand; Željana Zovko, Member of the European Parliament; and Jordan Embree, Research Associate at the Margaret Thatcher Center for Freedom at The Heritage Foundation.

During the forum, Wang and Miao also attended a gala dinner hosted by Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenković on the Adriatic coast.
