本次庆典主题正式揭晓：

“留心间隙：一场关于根基、韧性与重生的植物学之旅”

该主题灵感源自伦敦地铁经典提示音，承载着商会三十年来最深刻的精神内核。

On5 September, 2026, at the LN Garden Hotel, Guangzhou, the British Chamber of Commerce South China will mark its 30th anniversary milestone night.

We are pleased to officially announce the theme of this anniversary gala:

"Mind the Gap: A Botanical Journey of Roots, Resilience, and Renewal"

This theme draws inspiration from the iconic London Underground announcement, encapsulating the profound ethos that has defined the Chamber over its 30-year history.

何为"Mind the Gap"？

对于华南英国商会而言，"Gap"拥有三重含义：

时间的间隙——连接过去、现在与未来
文化的间隙——架起中英商业实践之间的桥梁
状态的间隙——在确定性与不确定性之间，为企业指引方向

三十年来，历经香港回归、非典、全球金融危机及新冠疫情等重大转折，商会始终屹立，成为跨越每一个“间隙”的坚实平台，助力会员从容应对挑战。

What does "Mind the Gap" signify?

For the British Chamber of Commerce South China, the "Gap" carries three layers of meaning:

The gap of time– bridging the past, the present and the future
The gap of culture– bridging British and Chinese commercial practices
The gap of status– guiding enterprises amid certainty and uncertainty

Over the past three decades, through the handover of Hong Kong, SARS, the global financial crisis, and the pandemic, the Chamber has stood firm as a solid platform bridging every "Gap", empowering each member to navigate change.

一场植物学之旅：根基、韧性与重生

历史上，英国“植物猎人”走遍全球，旨在研究、移植与共生。这恰如英国企业在华南的足迹：非短暂过客，而是长期参与者，与本土伙伴共同适应、融合、生长。

我们以植物为隐喻，展开这场穿越时空的旅程：

玫瑰——英格兰的象征

木棉花——广州的市花

两座城市，两种传统，同一片土壤。

榕树则是华南大地最具生命力的图腾。其主干深扎，气根垂落成新干，正如商会：核心机构坚挺，每位新会员皆成为不断扩展的根系。

A Botanical Journey: Roots, Resilience and Renewal

Historically, Britain was renowned for its plant hunters who traversed the globe to study, transplant and foster symbiosis. This spirit mirrors British enterprises in South China: long-term stakeholders adapting and flourishing alongside local partners.

We draw upon plants as a metaphor for this journey:

Rose– Emblem of England

Mu Mian Hua– City Flower of Guangzhou

Two cities, two traditions, one shared soil.

Thebanyan treestands as the most vibrant totem across South China. Its sturdy trunk sinks deep, while aerial roots mature into new trunks. The Chamber is akin to a banyan: our core remains steadfast, and every new member becomes part of its ever-expanding root system.

庆典当晚，值得期待

9 月 5 日晚，广州花园酒店将化身为连接伦敦与华南、过去与未来的叙事空间。庆典将围绕“回望、致敬、播种”三大篇章展开。

嘉宾将体验一场融合伦敦地铁元素与植物学美学的沉浸式旅程：从极具英伦仪式感的抵达体验开始，穿过记录商会 30 年重要时刻的时光回廊，最终抵达被玫瑰与木棉花装点的主会场。这不仅是一场晚宴，更是一次穿越地理与时间的叙事体验。

The gala evening promises to be unforgettable

On the evening of 5 September, the Garden Hotel Guangzhou will transform into a narrative space linking London to South China. The gala unfolds in three chapters: Reflection, Tribute and Sowing the Future.

Guests will embark on an immersive journey blending London Underground motifs and botanical aesthetics. From a quintessentially British arrival experience, through a timeline corridor chronicling 30 landmark years, to a main ballroom decorated with roses and Mu Mian Hua. This is far more than a dinner; it is a narrative journey spanning geography and time.

全城联动，共庆 30 年

庆典不止一晚。自 2026 年 7 月 1 日起，商会将联动华南地区会员餐厅与酒店，推出"30 周年打卡分享赢好礼”主题活动。

前往参与活动的会员场所，拍摄带有 30 周年主题物料和特供餐饮的照片，发布社交平台并带上 #BritChamSC30# 话题，即有机会赢取 Gala 门票、限量版玩偶等丰富好礼。

三十而“力”，继续生长

A city-wide campaign uniting all to mark our 30 years milestone

The celebration extends beyond one night. Starting from1 July 2026, the Chamber launches theSnap, Share & Win Campaignwith member restaurants and hotels across South China.

Snap photos showcasing the 30th Anniversary installations and exclusive food & beverages, post on social media with #BritChamSC30#, and win perks such as gala tickets and limited-edition figurines.

Thirty Years Strong, Ever Growing

Thirty years span a generation. Whether a new member or a companion since 1996, we are grateful to everyone who walked this journey with us.

On 5 September 2026, join us for this solemn, heartwarming and hopeful gala. Together, we will "mind the gap", break boundaries, and plant our shared future where roses and Mu Mian Hua bloom.
