On June 2, Guo Kongsong and his team carried out targeted research in the Oran area to assess on-site issues and arrange follow-up work. At the prison project, Guo Kongsong listened to a full report on project performance, and held face-to-face discussions with the project management team and principals of subcontractors. He put forward clear and detailed requirements for project finalization, acceptance preparation and fund management. He stressed the need to always prioritize the owner’s core demands, strictly control construction quality, conduct meticulous work for project handover, and ensure steady project delivery and high-quality completion of construction tasks.

During the research trip, Guo Kongsong paid visits to a number of key partners and industrial institutions to continuously integrate high-quality local resources, deepen business collaboration and expand room for regional market development. His team held business exchanges with the Algeria Branch of MCC International. Based on the market trends in Algeria and the overall development of African regions, the two sides conducted in-depth discussions on photovoltaic project construction, regional market layout and emerging business opportunities. A broad consensus was reached on resource sharing, joint market development, capacity building for local operation and win-win cooperation, laying a solid foundation for long-term in-depth regional collaboration.

On June 5, Guo visited the construction site of the 88MWc photovoltaic project. He communicated with project consultants to learn about the project’s current progress, existing challenges and subsequent resource allocation needs. The two sides exchanged views on guaranteeing project performance, coordinating local resources and maintaining government relations, and worked out targeted solutions. During on-site discussions, Guo carefully listened to employees’ opinions and suggestions regarding project construction, work and living support, team building and local management. He fully recognized the dedication of the project team for overcoming difficulties and sticking to their posts. He noted that frontline employees are the backbone of project construction. Relevant teams should continue to address employees’ concerns and practical difficulties, enhance team cohesion and combat effectiveness, and provide solid support for high-quality project delivery.

During the research period, Guo Kongsong convened special project meetings and problem-solving seminars. The team systematically sorted out problems and weak links in all stages of project construction, formulated rectification measures one by one and rolled out special implementation plans. Meanwhile, a special work safety inspection was conducted at construction sites to consolidate safety management responsibilities and reinforce the safety line for projects. He also held group talks with existing and prospective subcontractors, clarifying construction organization, resource allocation and performance liabilities for all parties, and standardizing work requirements to ensure standardized, efficient and orderly project advancement.

On June 7, Guo Kongsong and his team met with the Advisor to the President of Algeria for high-level strategic talks to explore long-term cooperation opportunities. The two sides had in-depth exchanges on Algeria’s national key development plans and major infrastructure layout, focusing on the planning direction, investment layout and market potential of national strategic projects. Guo Kongsong introduced the core strengths of MCC22 in infrastructure construction, mining engineering and EPC general contracting. Both sides aligned cooperation demands and elaborated on approaches and models for participating in follow-up projects.

The meeting deepened mutual understanding between the enterprise and local government, and laid a solid groundwork for the company to continuously follow up on local strategic projects, seize core market resources and deliver major cooperation projects.

On June 8, Guo Kongsong presided over a special work meeting for the Algeria Office. The meeting comprehensively reviewed recent achievements in regional market expansion, project delivery and local operation, and analyzed existing shortcomings, market challenges and project difficulties. Combining the company’s international development strategy and local market realities, Guo put forward systematic work arrangements in four aspects: First, stay confident, seize market opportunities in Algeria, keep exploring key regions and major clients, and boost market development performance. Second, focus on project performance management, adhere to a problem-oriented approach, strengthen whole-process control, and ensure the safe, high-quality and efficient progress of key projects. Third, continuously advance local resource development and talent training, and improve the independent operation capacity and market competitiveness of the office. Fourth, reinforce sense of responsibility and execution, push forward the resolution of legacy issues alongside new business development, and pave the way for high-quality development of the company’s business in Algeria. Participants exchanged ideas on market development, project management, resource allocation and local operation, further unified their understanding and clarified work priorities, which will drive new progress in all work of the Algeria Office.
