The firm provides legal services to local businesses and cross-border clients, with practice areas covering corporate and commercial matters, dispute resolution, real estate, and commercial transactions. It has developed solid practical experience in handling domestic commercial disputes and corporate transactions, and continues to provide ongoing legal advisory and project-based support to clients of varying sizes.
During the meeting, both sides discussed the legal service needs arising from Malaysia’s position as a key ASEAN economic hub, particularly in relation to regional supply chain restructuring and the development of manufacturing and consumer markets. The discussion focused on structuring investment arrangements, commercial contracts, employment compliance, and dispute resolution mechanisms for businesses operating in Malaysia, as well as approaches to aligning local legal practice with cross-border service requirements.
In recent years, as an increasing number of Chinese enterprises regard Malaysia as a key hub for their Southeast Asian expansion, demand for legal services that combine local experience with a cross-border perspective continues to grow. Looking ahead, the VATA Legal Services Team will continue to expand its cooperation network with Malaysian law firms, and through resource integration and knowledge sharing, provide more business-oriented legal support for Chinese enterprises investing and operating across Southeast Asia.
