From April 18th to 22nd, 2018, Beijing Hongzhou Learning Co, Ltd. organized Chinese universities to attend the university presentation in Confucius Institution of Sofia and made campus talks in the 138 and 18 high schools, as well as visiting some local colleges and universities. In Novi Sad, the second largest city of Serbia, Chinese delegations participated in the China-Serbia International Education Exchange Forum undertaken by Beijing Hongzhou Learning Co, Ltd. and hosted by the University of Novi Sad-The Secretariat of China-CEEC(Cooperation between China and Central and Eastern European Countries) or “16+1”. All of those activities achieved great success!
On April 19th, 2018, Beijing Hongzhou Learning Co, Ltd. led University of Science and Technology of China, Shenyang University, and China University of Mining and Technology visited New Bulgaria University, Sofia-University of Architecture, Civil Engineering and Geodesy-UACEG in short, University of Mining and Geology "St. Ivan Rilski" and Sofia University of Technology respectively. Foreign institutions attached high expectations to this visit. Prof Dr Vyara Pozhidaeva, Vice President of University of Mining and Geology "St. Ivan Rilski", Ivan Kralov, Vice President of Sofia University of Technology, and Prof. Eng Boris Tzankov, Director of International Affairs,UACEG, and managers of relevant departments attended the meeting and gave a few words on relevant issues. In this event, Sofia University of Technology even invited reporters to conduct interviews at this conference. At the meeting, Chinese and foreign representatives conducted in-depth discussions on specific cooperation projects and made concrete plans for further cooperation and implementation. The new Bulgarian University hopes to carry out exchange students and summer or winter camp activities with Chinese universities; the UACEG and Shenyang University further discussed the potential of establishing a bilingual language training center and starting the 2+2 project; University of Mining and Geology "St. Ivan Rilski" and China University of Mining and Technology had a detailed conversation on scientific research cooperation, cooperation in running schools, student exchanges, and the implementation of scholarship projects; Sofia University of Technology and University of Science and Technology of China described their advantages in the field of technology respectively, hoping to learn from each other and cooperating in scientific research and exchange programs. Through this visit, both sides expanded their mutual understanding and laid a solid foundation for further cooperation.
In order to allow more Sofia students to understand the higher education of China and to improve the overall recruitment result for Chinese universities, Hongzhou Learning Co, Ltd. led Chinese universities to 138 and 18 senior high schools for a campus talks under the support of their presidents. The campus talks attracted nearly 100 students, students from both schools have a good Chinese language foundation for studying in China since they all have their own Confucius classrooms. During the campus talks, university of Science and Technology of China, Shenyang University, and China university of Mining and Technology gave detailed introduction of their universities, admissions criteria, and requirements to apply for scholarships. After the meeting, many students actively asked questions and expressed their high enthusiasm to study in China.
On April 21, 2018, the Chinese university presentation was held in Confucius Institution of Sofia. Dean Ge, the President of the Confucius Institution of Sofia on the Chinese side, Dean Ashiah, President of the Confucius Institution of Sofia on the Bulgaria side, and Mrs. Chen Ying, Head of the Education Section of the Chinese Embassy in Bulgaria attended the presentation and made a speech. With the development of China-European education cooperation and the improvement of Chinese education, the enthusiasm of Bulgarian students for learning Chinese is unprecedentedly high. In the near future, there will be more Bulgarian students study in China. The presentation attracted nearly 100 students and parents. Chinese universities explained the overall conditions of their institutions and advantages to study there. Students and parents actively asked for detailed information and expressed their willingness to study in China. Hopefully there will be more Bulgarian students study in China in the near future.
On April 22, 2018, Chinese delegations participated in the China-Serbia International Education Exchange Forum undertook by Beijing Hongzhou Learning Co, Ltd. and hosted by the University of Novi Sad-The Secretary of China-CEEC or “16+1”. The conference attracted 24 representatives from 7 universities in Serbia and one high school. Including University of Belgrade, Belgrade Metropolitan University, University of Kragujevac etc. Through this meeting, both sides strengthened their mutual understanding and communicated deeply on specific projects cooperation and implementation in various aspects. Predictably, there will be more in-depth cooperation between two sides in the near future.
Novi Sad University is the second largest university in Serbia. At present, it has 13 colleges and about 52,000 students. The famous colleges are agricultural colleges, law schools, and medical schools. The field crop research of the Agricultural College, the Roman Law of the Law School, and the Tumor research Institution of the medical school are all at the leading level. The University of Novi Sad actively promotes Sino-Serbia international education cooperation at all levels and has made great contributions to the in-depth communication, understanding and cooperation in the field of education between China and Serbia. The China-CEEC or “16+1” Secretariat is based at University of Novi Sad.
2018 university presentation in Confucius Institution of Sofia, high school campus talks and China-Serbia International Education Exchange Forum were held successfully. Thanks to the support of the three Chinese universities during the trip, the trust of foreign institutions and the related institutions. Beijing Hongzhou Learning Co, Ltd. will move forward with great enthusiasm to make better contributions to Chinese and foreign educational exchanges and cooperation.
