摘要：
Nowadays, farmers from all over theworld are not only aware of the importance of pest control and nutritionalmanagement, but also of the need for dealing with abiotic stress, which is oneof the most limiting factors for profitability. Today, abiotic stress isconsidered as the leading cause of the yield and quality losses globally.
Although forecasting and earlystress detection turn out to be an essential task in current agriculture,abiotic stress detection is difficult and complicated, especially undersub-optimal conditions, or when stress is at a preliminary stage. Inaddition to this, abiotic stress detection is not enough by itself. Crops must be prepared for the upcoming stressfulevents and biostimulants are able to prepare the plants to better fight stressperiods.
In recent years, Tradecorp R&Ddepartment is investing heavily to understand how abiotic stresses affect theplants physiologically and genetically. It has been proven that preventiveapplications of biostimulants can successfully prepare the plant for stressendurance, and curative applications of biostimulants effectively help cropsrecover from harmful stress situations.
Flowering and fruit setting in fruit trees andorchards are critically important stages in these crops as they have a greatinfluence on yield and profitability. Several intensive studies have enabled usto improve our knowledge in the action mode of biostimulants, and offerspecific solutions in order to enhance significantly the yield and quality ofthe fruit trees crops.
