报告摘要：
India’s 2.6 trillion US $ national economy is expanding at 8 percent annually. The productive sectors– agriculture and industry-- need a thorough revamping to boost productivity and regain growth. This situation is closely linked to the major challenges in attaining national level food security and revival of the manufacturing sector. In the fertilizer sector balancing domestic production and imports to meet the growing nutrient demand together with diligent application of fertilizer materials, providing secondary and micro nutrients have become essential. This paper reviews the current fertilizer situation in entirety India.
报告人简介：
Dr MP Sukumaran Nair is a fertilizer industry and policy analyst having expertise for over 40 years. Currently Director, Centre for Green Technology & Management, he was formerly Special Secretary to Chief Minister, Government of Kerala, served as Chairman, Chemical Engineering Board of the Institution of Engineers (India), Chairman, Public Sector Restructuring & Audit Board, as Managing Director of several Public Sector industries and as a Member of Public Sector industry Boards in the fertilizer, chlor-alkali and titanium sectors.
A prolific writer, industry commentator, speaker and contributor to international journals, Dr. Nair is actively associated with Professional bodies and Institutions and serves on advisory committees to the Central and State Governments in India.
