Manchester United will kick off a summer tour of China with an International Champions Cup (ICC) game against Borussia Dortmund at our very own Shanghai Stadium on July 22.
The tournament will also see United take on rivals Manchester City in Beijing on July 25, in a derby set to be one of Pep Guardiola's first games as the new City boss.
The team are in China for eight days, and their visit is not only to satisfy United's staggering 100 million plus Chinese fans, but also to satisfy Old Trafford sponsors Chevrolet and Aon, who were keen for a China tour after two successive pre-season tours of the US.
Speaking about the club's trip to China, Red Devils executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward said: 'Manchester United has strong historical links with China and we are very proud of our relationship and of our fans throughout the country.' United first visited China in 1975 and have gone on to make nine tours of the country, the most recent visit in 2013.
The ICC competition will see games taking place all over the world, with Premier League leaders Leicester taking part alongside Liverpool, Chelsea and Tottenham. Ticket details haven't been announced yet - keep an eye on our blog for more info.
