You may have missed this, but apparently there's a fairly big film coming to China this weekend.
Yep, Star Wars is finally here and we can all stop worrying about avoiding those spoilers we're scared of accidentally hearing/our friends telling us to spite us. Shanghai being Shanghai, dozens of cinemas over town are putting on midnight showings to cater for the expected demand, with some even trying to one-up the others by starting showings at 23.55. Naughty cinemas.

You can see the full list of cinemas opening late on Friday on the handy 247 cinema website.
Some are already dubbing this weekend as a box office battle – Star Wars: The Force Awakens vs. Sherlock: The Abominable Bride. With the feature-length special of the detective drama also in cinemas, the deerstalker-donning detective may be up against it. But if anyone can outwit a lightsabre, it's him.
The feature-length special sees Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman reprise their roles as Sherlock Holmes and Doctor Watson in a one-off episode set in Victorian London in 1895.

In a nod to the Chinese market, the cinematic version in China will also include 26 minutes of exclusive bonus material, including a guided tour of Mr. Holmes' famous residence, 221B Baker Street.
Fans looking to experience big screen Benedict had better act fast - Sherlock is only in cinemas until Monday (11 Jan), and if you want to binge watch the previous nine episodes for free, Youku has them all online. The game’s well and truly afoot.
