If you thought we were done with big EDM fests for the year, think again. Shanghai is set to host an 'EDM extravaganza' in December following the announcement of the inaugural Nexxus Shanghai event. Legendary producer/DJ Paul Oakenfold and house star Norman Doray are among the names included in the first round line up announcement, with more major acts due to be revealed in the coming weeks.
Pitched as a celebration of the city, music and art to round off 2015 - it's taking place on Saturday 19 December - Nexxus will also feature locally-based hip hop group Busy Gang, Bar Rouge resident DJ Keint and Shanghai-based producer Conrank, who will reprise his collaboration with multi-lingual world music singer Sa Dingding.
Organisers are promising nine hours of continuous music and entertainment in a warehouse-like setting on the former Expo park, along with art installations and interactive elements to celebrate the best of Shanghai.
