Vendors along Yuyuan Dong Lu are joining forces this Saturday to celebrate Halloween by organising a trick or treating session. The good people at CinnaSwirl, Co.Cheese, Le Souhait, Yakatori Fukuchan, Lanna Coffee, Omelet +, Coffee Roasters, new lobster spot Red Hook and the latest branch of Blue Marlin will be throwing up Jack-o'-lanterns and cobwebs and inviting all manner of ghosts and ghoulies to join the fun.
The mass trick or treat walk around will be running between midday and 6pm on Saturday 31 October, with anyone in costume eligible for free candies. Sounds like it'll be lots of fun.

Speaking of fun Halloween events for the kids, the Kerry complex in Pudong has gone all out this year. Not only does the shopping mall have a virtual reality train ride, but the adjacent hotel is also dabbling in the VR arts with haunted rooms and more.
The animated train ride experience is pretty creepy, but if your kids are a bit young for it there's also a cartoony game to play (which we actually enjoyed even more) at the shopping mall's Boo! installation. Next door, there are also family-friendly brunches and feasts taking place throughout the weekend.
